Chapter 7

“So, Melissa, why did you bring me here, this can’t be Taylor’s place” said Brady looking around the kitchen.

“Well, this is where I live..with my..uh..my friend...yeah my friend....Isaac.”

“Okay, so where is Taylor’s?” asked Brady heading for the door. He was going to leave even if Melissa didn’t want him to.

“I will show you later, but first, tell me a little bit about yourself” said Melissa talking a seat next to him and putting her head on her hand, looking up at him with her bright eyes.

This question just made Brady sweat even more. He just couldn’t tell her what he did, she didn’t seem like the type who would go for the ‘killer’ type, or was she. “Well, i am in college right now”

“Oh” said Melissa blankly making sure that she looked very uninterested.

“O..kay, now will you please show me Taylor’s house?” pleaded Brady.

“Nope, Im not done with you yet” said Melissa with a smile forming on her face.

This made Brady even more uneasy. He just could understand why he wasn’t jumping on the chance to snag a hot chick, normally he would be up in bed with her right now. But this was different, something inside told him that she was different, something he didn’t need to get involoved with. But would he listen to his pleading conscious?

“Okay Zac, I am leaving now” said the painter who had offererd to drive Zac across the street to see Melissa.

“Ok, thanks a lot man” said Zac grabing a white t-shirt and following the man.

“No problem, so who’s house are you going to?”

“Isaac’s” said Zac grinning at just the thought of seeing Melissa again.

“Sure thing” said the man stepping into his old Chevy truck. “Isn’t Isaac at work now?”

“Well, he wants me to do some cleaning for him”

“Why you, he could hire a cleaning lady” said the man.

He was just getting to personal for Zac. He really didn’t have to tell him a thing. “Its really not you business, is it?”

“Well...yeah I guess your right”

“What? I am always right” said Zac looking out the dirty window.

“Taylor, why are you pacing and looking out the window?” asked Jayna, worried.

“Nevermind, shouldn’t you be shopping or something?”

“No, but I am leaving, though Im not sure if I should leave you alone like this. You look a little sick”

“Im fine, now just leave” screamed Talyor growing very inpatient. All he could think about was what was taking Brady so long, and that he really didn’t want Jayna around when he did come.

“Im gonna leave now. Bye sweetie” said Jayna giving Taylor a kiss and walking out the door. Taylor didn’t say a word, he was just happy to get her out of the way. Now if he olny knew what was talking Brady so long.
