Chapter 14

“Im sorry,” I started but before I went on I made sure that I looked both Taylor and my brother straight in the eyes, “But, Taylor I can’t live with your family anymore.”

At first the room was silent no one said a word. Taylor just looked at me like a sick puppy, and my brother was starting to form a smile on his face. Finally, someone spoke.

“Thats your decision, Haley. I’ll go tell my parents, and then you can come over and grab your things.” Taylor looked over at my brother for a second like it was Bobby’s fault I was moving out, but it wasn’t anyone’s fault. I just needed out.

“Good choice!” exclamed Bobby patting my on the back.

“Whatever” I said backing away from him.

“Goodbye” said Taylor with a long sad face as he walked towards the door. A part of me wanted to go after him and tell him I wanted to go back homw with him, but another part knew that the only way I was going to keep my sanity was to stay out of that house, away from the Hanson brothers.

“Are you okay?” asked Bobby after Taylor left. He had no idea wht had happened to me earlier in the day.

“I don’t know. I just hope I haven’t made the biggest mistake of my life.”

“No, my dear little sis, moving over that crazy house was your biggest mistake, but this one is one of your smartest.”

“I hope your right.” I said walking towards the stairs, “I just need to be alone.”

About two hours later I realized what a huge mistake I had made, but I couldn’t go back on my decision. Instead I just sat there in my room staring at my wall remembering how much fun I really had over there with the Hanson boys.

I thought of this one shopping trip with them that I’ll never forget. It was about a month ago and I was helping them pick out some outfits for an upcoming apperence that they had. We were looking around the Gap store.

“Haley, what do you think of this?” asked Zac grabbing my arm and pulling me over to the rack of brightly colored shirts. He was holding a bright lime green button down shirt.

“I don’t know Zac, that really doesn’t look like you.”

“Then who do I look like? I sure hope im not looking like a girl again.”

“Not you, the shirt.” I said laughing, “That color wouldn’t look nice on you, but this gray one would”

“Thanks Haley,” Zac started in one of his weird voices giving me a hug “your the bestest!” I couldn’t believe that he still used that word.

“How’s this?” asked Taylor stepping out of a dressing room wearing a pair of tight dark blue jeans with a jean jacket and a white undershirt.

“Taylor, why do even bother asking me? You know that you look good no matter what you wear!”

“I know I always look sexy, but I needed your approval. You are the ‘fashion queen’ ” he said laughing.

“Yeah right” I laughed. “Okay, are we all done?”

“Wait!” shouted Isaac knocking over a rack of socks” This caused me and the other two guys to just burst out in laughter. Then the sales person came over.

“Excuss me” she stared, “You have to pick all of thoes up.” Then she walked away, but ot before flashing Taylor a smile.

“Have fun Ikey-Poo” laughted Zac

“Shut up” mumbled Isaac

“We had so much fun that day” I said aloud to myself. “What happened to those days?” Deep down inside I knew what had happened, I had happened. Slowly I turned every person in that house to hate me, and they finally acted on their feelings, and I didn’t have it in my to stand up to them. So now here I am, living with my odd brother, wish that I could turn back the hands of time and change everything.

Finally, I got enough guts to get up and walk over to the Hanson’s house to pick about my belongings.
