“Flight 103 to LA is now boarding,” the flight attendant said over the loud speaker. He had been sitting in the airport coffee shop for 30 minutes. He suddenly looked up to see Angie walking toward him. His face lit up as he saw her hair in curls on the top of her head.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry,” Angie apologized. “Jessica had a crises with our cat who got stuck in the dryer and it just wasn’t good and I had to stick my head in there and…” Angie tried to explain as she talked a million miles a minute. Nick looked at her beautiful blonde hair and green eyes. She was so pretty and he was hooked to every word she said.
“But don’t worry we got her out and she’s okay,” Angie said smiling at him. “What?” she asked noticing he was staring at her.
“Oh, umm… nothing,” Nick said coming out of his trance.
“So why are we in the airport?” Angie asked looking around.
“Well I remember that you liked pizza and I remembered this great place that me and Rok went to and I thought you would like it.”
“So this place is in the airport?” Angie asked confused.
“Well… no not exactly, you’ll see,” he said. Angie gave him a confused look. She was so pretty and Nick’s heart throbbed as he looked at her.
“Flight 148 to New York is now boarding,” the speaker rang out over the coffee shop.
“That’s us,” Nick said as he got up and grabbed her hand. They walked hand and hand down the airport to the gate.
“I don’t get it, “ Angie said, “We’re are going to New York?”
“Well, yeah. How else are we going to get pizza on Earth?”
“But, I don’t have any clothes or anything. I don’t even have money to pay for the ticket!” Angie exclaimed worriedly.
“Don’t worry okay?” Nick said giving her a reassuring look. He grabbed her hand and led her toward the plane. They climbed up the flight of stairs and onto the plane. The plane was really pretty and the seats were very comfortable. They both sat down and ordered a glass of champagne.
“Oh my God, I can’t believe you!” Angie exclaimed.
“What?” Nick asked shrugging his shoulders.
“We’re on a plane to New York to go get pizza! This is the craziest thing anyone has ever done for me!” Angie said smiling. Nick looked at her and smiled. He never did this type of thing but there was something about this girl that made him want to make her happy. The flight attendant came over and handed the two of them their champagne.
“Excuse me folks, we’re about to take off so would you please fasten your seat belts.”
They both buckled their seat belts and looked into each other’s eyes. Nick’s heart began to race as Angie reached over and grabbed his hand. She smiled at him coyly as she took a drink of champagne. They talked for an hour about different things and they got to know each other better. They really like each other and, despite Angie’s past problems with commitment, they both knew this was going to be a lasting relationship. Angie and Nick exchanged a silent glance and they both started to smile.
“I’m getting tired. Do you think I can take a short nap before we get there?” Angie asked Nick.
“Yeah. We have about and hour left. Why don’t you catch a quick snooze.” Angie laid her head on Nick’s shoulder and immediately fell asleep. Nick looked down at Angie sleeping. She looked so peaceful and he felt so comfortable around her. Nick was so wrapped up with her sleeping that soon they arrived in New York. Nick brushed a piece of hair away from her forehead and kissed her gently.
“Angie, we’re hear,” he said shaking her a bit to wake her from her slumber. She looked up half dazed and confused and smiled up at Nick.
“Hey,” she said rubbing her eyes.
“C’mon, let’s go,” he said starting to stand up. They walked out of the plane and into the cool night air. Nick stopped Angie and pulled her close to him.
“I really want to kiss you!” he said as he looked into her eyes lovingly.
“So, what are you waiting for?” she asked smiling. He leaned down and put his arms around her waist. Her soft lips touched his as her arms slid up around his neck. She pulled away from his kiss and looked into her eyes. She put her head on his chest and closed her eyes.

“That damn cat!” AJ said as he put the cat on the floor.
“Be careful, don’t hurt her! She’s only a kitten!” she said making sure her cat was ok. AJ pulled her close to him again and kissed her lips gently. They pulled away from their kiss and looked into each other’s eyes. She put her head on his chest and wrapped her arms around his waist. He put his chin on top her head and smelled her beautiful hair. He ran his fingers through her hair and gently kissed the top of her head.
“I really like you,” AJ said down to Jessica.
“I like you too,” Jessica said looking up. He looked into her eyes and moved towards her. Her lips tasted so sweet and soft against his.
“Ring, Ring!” the phone rang.
“God damnit! First it’s the cat, now the phone. What next?” AJ said angrily.
“Calm down. I’ll make it fast,” Jessica said as she picked up the phone. “Hello?”
“Hi Jess, it’s me Angie.”
“Ang, where the hell are you?” Jessica asked concerned.
“You’re are never gonna guess. I’m in New York,” she said as her cell phone started to get staticy.
“What did you say? I thought you said New York,” Jessica asked confused.
“I did. Nick wanted to take me to this great restaurant and it just happens to be in New York. So we took a plane and just went,” Angie explained to Jessica.
“Oh my God! You guys are fucking crazy! When will you be back?” Jessica asked smiling at how crazy her best friend was.
“Probably early tomorrow morning,” Angie said.
“What are you two going to do?” Jessica asked.
“Probably finish eating dinner, maybe see a movie, and come back home. Not what you’re thinking about!” Angie said. “Is AJ over there?”
“Yeah!” Jessica said looking at him over at the couch.
“Oh well then I’ll let you go. Have fun,” Angie said.
“You too,” Jessica said and hung up the phone. She looked over at AJ and smiled. “You’re never going to believe where they are,” Jessica said to AJ.
“Where?” he asked.
“New York.”
“Oh my God! Why the hell are they there?” AJ asked laughing.
“Because Nick wanted Angie to try this restaurant,” she said laughing.
“Oh my God, they’re crazy!” he said laughing. He grabbed her waist and pulled her so that she fell on top of him.
“Where were we?” he asked as he began to kiss her neck. He looked up at her and began to unbutton her shirt as he continued to kiss her neck. Something clicked inside Jessica and she pulled away from him.
“What’s wrong?” he asked concerned.
“I can’t do this,” she said a little stunned that those words came out of her mouth.
“Ok,” AJ said a little confused.
“Oh it’s not that I don’t want too,” she said. “Believe me, I do. It’s just that there’s something different about you and I want to save this.” She looked into his big brown eyes and smiled. “You mad?” she asked.
“Not at all, I feel the same way,” he said looking down.
“AJ, can I ask you a personal question?” Jessica asked.
“Sure.”
“Have you ever ‘made love’ to a woman?” He thought for a moment then looked straight into her eyes.
“No,” he said as he looked at the ground. “How ‘bout you?”
“No,” said Jessica as she thought of all the guys she had been with. She’s had sex before but none of them were special and she never felt that ‘thing’. She looked over at AJ and smiled. She leaned toward him and laid her head on his chest. AJ sighed a huge sigh and closed his eyes.

“Oh my God this is the best pizza I have ever tasted,” Angie said taking a bite.
“I told you, and I never lie,” Nick said with a smile spreading across his face. He took another drink of soda and looked into Angie’s eyes from across the table. He didn’t know if it was the light form the candle or from the kiss they just shared, but she looked more radiant then ever. He smiled as the cheese from the pizza stretched from her mouth to the plate.
“You should have told me about this place before. I wonder if they would deliver to my house,” Angie said smiling. Nick reached his hand across the table and grabbed hers.
“It’s not fair,” Nick said more to herself than to her.
“What?” Angie asked.
“That I’ve been living in Orlando all my life and I only just found you,” he said looking into her eyes. Angie’s heart started to race at the sweet words he said. She leaned across the table and kissed him passionately. All her feelings of mistrust and hate for men seemed to dissolve as his sweet lips touched hers.
