“Coffee, coffee, coffee, coffee,” Angie said pouring the hot black liquid into her cup. She took a sip and looked toward the opening bedroom door. Angie was surprised to see AJ walk out.
“Why… umm… hi,” Angie said stunned.
“Hi,” AJ said putting on his other shoe. Jessica followed AJ out of the bedroom and began to walk him out. Angie gave Jessica a weird look when she knew AJ wasn’t looking.
“I had a great time,” Jessica said looking up at AJ.
“Me too,” he said leaning down and giving her a kiss.
“I’ll see you tonight then?” she asked.
“Yeah. Bye,” he said giving her a kiss. Jessica took a deep breath and closed the door gently behind him.
"What happened to taking it slow?” Angie asked as soon as he was gone.
“What are you talking about?” Jessica asked confused.
“Ok what happened to getting to know him better before you had… well you know,” she said giving her a weird look.
“Oh no! We didn’t do anything. We just slept together,” she tried to explain.
“Woah! Ok! T.M.I. Too much info,” she said plugging her ears.
“No, we just cuddled and fell asleep in each others arms,” she said smiling. She put her hand on her chest to feel her heart beating rapidly.
“Oh!” Angie said, “that’s too cute!” Jessica looked down at her bracelet and smiled. Angie followed her stare and noticed the new bracelet.
“What’s that?” she asked pointing out the thin silver jewelry.
“Oh, just the bracelet my boyfriend gave me,” she said smiling. She turned and began to walk back to the bedroom. Angie ran up behind her and turned Jessica to face her.
“What did you say?” she said excitedly.
“My new boyfriend,” she said smiling.
“Ahhh!” they both screamed as they jumped up and down.
“So it’s official, you two are a couple,” Angie said excitedly.
“Yeah I guess so,” Jessica said smiling to herself. Angie gave Jessica a hug and jumped up and down. This was a big step for Jessica, usually she never had a “boyfriend”. Relationships never lasted more than a couple of weeks. Just as the 2 girls began to settle down, the phone rang. Angie went over and picked up the phone.
“Hello,” she said putting the receiver to her ear.
“Hey there,” she heard Nick say from the other line.
“Hey baby,” she said smiling. “What’s up?”
“I need you to do something. Will you bring some dessert or something? I forgot,” he said desperately.
“Ok I suppose I could do that,” she said smiling. “What do you want me to bring?”
“I don’t know how about some cookies or brownies or something.”
“You mean I have to cook!” she said sarcastically. “Yow might be better off pcking something up at the store,” she said laughing.
“Well do what you think is best,” he said. “Look, I got to go, I’m on my way to the studio and I’m already late.”
“Ok. Bye,” she said as she began to put the phone down.
“Ang, wait!” She put the phone back to her ear.
“Yes?” she asked.
“I can’t wait to see you tonight,” he said shyly.
“Me too,” she responded, touched by what he said.
“Bye,” he said. Angie hung up the phone and turned to Jessica.
“Looks like I won’t be the only one with a boyfriend for long,” Jessica said smiling.
“I don’t know what your talking about!” Angie said playing dumb. “Anyways, I have to make brownies, so if you don’t mind getting out of my kitchen.”
“Brownies? I want to make brownies, I love to bake,” Jessica said, her eyes wide.
“Be my guest,” Angie said handing her the spoon and walking out of the kitchen. Jessica began mixing the brownie mix as Angie started cleaning.
“Why are you cleaning?” Jessica asked as she tasted the brownie mix.
“Cause I have nothing else better to do for 4 hours and our poor house needs it,” Angie said looking around.
“Why don’t you get ready and go do something, you’re distracting,” she said licking the spoon of brownie mix.
“Yeah it looks like I am,” Angie said sarcastically. “Ok let me just get ready.” She went into the bathroom and took a shower. Two hours later she grabbed her keys and headed out the door. She had no idea where to go, but it felt good to be out of the house by herself. She tried to think of a place to go when she thought of Nick.. she did miss him and wanted to see him. He changed her whole perspective of men. She smiled to herself as she thought of the night in New York. No one had ever done anything like that for her. She picked up her cell phone and began to dial Nick’s number.
“Hello,” he said as he answered the phone.
“Hi, it’s me, can you talk?” she asked hopeful.
“Yeah, for awhile. What’s up?” he asked a bit concerned.
“I have to know, how do you feel about me?”
“What?” he asked not sure if he heard her right.
“How do you feel about me?” she blurted out.
“Well…” he thought for a moment before answering. “The first time I saw you I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you,” he said a little shaky. “But I didn’t want to ruin what we have by going too fast. I know how you feel about guys.”
“Nick you changed me. I’ve only known you for a month and you’ve already changed my whole outlook on guys. I was scared to get involved with anyone but you saved me and I know we may be going too fast but it feels so right “ She turned the corner and began driving towards the studio.
“I have to see you,” Angie said pulling into the parking lot. “You still recording?”
“We just finished,” he said.
“Then meet me outside,” Angie said parking the car. She hung up the phone and got out of the car. As soon as she saw Nick walk out of the door, she began to run to him. She threw her arms around him and squeezed him tightly. She looked into his eyes as he leaned down and kissed her gently. She pulled away from him and gave a quick smile.
“I love you and I hardly know you,” Nick said smiling.
“I love you too. Do you think we’re moving too fast?”
“It doesn’t feel like it,” Nick said and leaned down to kiss her again. He put his hands around her waist and pulled her body closer to his. They stood there for a couple of minutes wrapped up in each other when they heard a deep voice from behind them.
“Hello! I’ve been calling you forever!” Brian said trapping Nick on the shoulder. Nick broke away from their kiss and turned to face Brian.
“Let’s go dude, I have to get ready for tonight!” Brian said annoyed. Nick turned and looked down at Angie.
“Do you think you could give me a ride home?” Nick asked Angie.
“Sure,” she answered smiling.
“I’ll just go home with Angie and meet you at the barbecue,” Nick said turning to Brian.
“Ok I’ll see you guys there then,” he said turning and walking away. Nick turned and looked at Angie.
“Is it ok if we go back to my place so we can change?” he asked.
“Of course, let’s go,” she said as she grabbed his hand and headed for the car. She started the car and began to drive to Nick’s house. She looked over at Nick and smiled.
“How did you do it?” she asked all of a sudden.
“What?” he asked confused.
“Make me fall in love with you? When I broke up with my last boyfriend, I promised myself I would never fall in love again. He looked over at her and ran his fingers through her hair.
“You don’t have to worry I’m never going to do that to you,” he said leaning over and kissing her neck. They pulled into Nick’s driveway and walked slowly into the house.
“I’m just going to go get ready real fast. Make yourself at home,” he said as he headed towards the bathroom. Angie looked around the bedroom. His room was surprisingly neat and clean. She walked over to the pictures on the wall. She smiled to herself as she looked at his relatives in the pictures. They all looked a lot like Nick. She walked over and sat down on the edge of his bed. Just as she sat down, Nick came out of the bathroom.
“Hey,” she said smiling. He walked over and sat down on the bed next to her. He looked over at her and smiled. She leaned over and gently kissed him. His lips were so soft and sweet against hers. She pulled away and looked deep into his eyes. Nick leaned over and began kissing her neck and shoulder. She ran her fingers through his hair and put her hands behind his neck. Nick looked up at her and laid her down on the bed. He leaned down and kissed her sweetly on the lips.
“You sure you want to do this?” he asked as she began to unbutton his shirt. She smiled as she pulled his head towards hers and kissed him passionately.

“Where the hell is she?” Jessica said hanging up her cell phone.
“Who?” AJ asked.
“Angie, that’s the 5th time I’ve called her and she’s still not answering. I hope she’s ok!” Jessica said checking her watch. The bbq had been going for and hour and it’s not like her to be so late.
“What’s going on?” Brian said coming up from behind them.
“Oh, Angie’s not answering her cell phone and I’m beginning to worry.”
“Oh, she went with Nick back to his place,” Brian said.
“What can they be doing there?” Jessica asked curiously.
“What else would they be doing there?” AJ said smiling.
“No, Angie wouldn’t do anything like that!” she said. “Would she?” Just as she finished saying this Nick and Angie walked through the door. They immediately went over to talk to AJ, Brian, and Jessica.
“Hey guys,” Nick said happily.
“Well I wonder why he’s so happy?” AJ said turning to Brian.
“I need to talk to you,” Angie said pulling Jessica away from the group.
“Ok I know this sounds crazy, but I’m I love,” Angie said seriously.
“What?” Jessica asked surprised. Angie explained the whole story to Jessica.
“That’s so cute!” Jessica said giving her a hug. “I’m so happy for you! But what happened to this conversation we had this morning and taking it slow!” Jessica said laughing.
“It’s not like that Jess! I’m seriously in love,” Angie said smiling.
“I’m really happy for you!
“What?” Nick said coming up behind Angie and wrapping his arms around her waist.
“Oh!!!” Jessica said in a cute baby voice. “You two look so cute!”
“What about us?” AJ asked coming up behind Jessica.
“I know I’m cute, but I don’t know about you!” Jessica said giving him a kiss.
"You guys really make me sick!” Brian said walking up behind the group.
“Hey!” AJ said putting his arm around Jessica’s shoulders.
“Just cause your girlfriend isn’t here!” Jessica said. Brian’s smile suddenly turned to a frown.
“I’m sorry,” Jessica said noticing Brian’s pain.
"It’s ok,” he said softly, “I just miss her. But let’s not talk about that now!”
“How about we go swimming?” AJ asked trying to change the subject.
“Sounds great!” Jessica said excitedly.
“You want to go,” Nick said looking down at Angie.
“Sure, why not? Let’s go change,” she said motioning to Jessica. Angie and Jessica grabbed their suits and walked upstairs to change. Jessica wore a leopard print bathing suit with a bikini to[ and short bottoms. Angie wore a baby blue bikini with white daisies all over it. They walked down the stairs and saw Nick and AJ waiting for them. AJ wore black swim trunks with a white T-shirt. Nick had on swim trunks with American flag print and a white shirt.
“God bless America!” Angie said saluting Nick’s shorts. She walked over and gave Nick a quick kiss and hug.
“I like your bathing suit! Very cute!” he said kissing her nose.
“Thanks,” she said as they turned and walked out onto the patio. Jessica walked over to AJ and put her arms around his neck.
“Is there anything you own that isn’t leopard skin?” Aj asked looking sown at her bathing suit.
“Umm… no!” Jessica said thinking for a moment. She leaned over and kissed him gently on the lips. They separated from their kiss ad looked at each other smiling.
“So how’s my girlfriend today?” AJ asked kissing her forehead.
“Good, how’s my boyfriend?”
“Good, now that you’re here,” he said leaning down and kissing her passionately.
“Come on you guys!” Brian said coming up from behind them. “Let’s go swimming.” The three of them of them walked out onto the patio. Outside all the guys and Angie were standing next to the pool. Nick (as usual) had his arms around Angie’s waist. AJ peeled off his shirt and dove into the water.
“Oh my god, what the hell are you doing?” Jessica said laughing. AJ swan over to the side of the pool where everyone was. “How’s the water bone?” she asked smiling.
“I don’t know, why don’t you come in and try it out?” AJ said pulling her into the pool with him. Nick pushed Angie into the pool and soon the whole gang was chillin in the water. Nick came up from behind and lifted Angie onto his shoulders.
“NICK! NICK! LET ME DOWN!” Angie screamed.
“Oh no, do you know what this reminds me of? Chicken fight! “ Jessica said excitedly.
“Oh, me and Nick can kick you and AJ’s ass anytime!” Angie said.
“Oh bring it on!” Jessica threatened. She got onto AJ’s shoulders and they went towards the deep end.
“Come on bitch, what you gonna do?” Angie screamed putting her hands up defensively.
“Oh no, bitch is going down!” They began to wrestle to knock each other down. Finally Nick and Angie pushed Jess and AJ down under the water.
“Oh! Look who won! We are the champions!” Angie said putting her arms up to flex her muscles.
“Well that’s not fair, Nicks like 20 feet tall!” AJ whined.
“Bone, you’re doing it wrong!” Brian said. “Come here Jess.” He put Jessica on his shoulders and Jess and Angie began fighting again. They wrestled for awhile until Jessica and Brian knocked Angie and Nick underwater.
“Ha ha, we kicked your ass!” Jessica said laughing at Angie. They spent the next two hours swimming when everyone decided to grab something to eat. As soon as everyone had their food, they sat down to eat together.
“Where’s Jess and AJ?” Angie asked concerned.
“Oh their making out in the sauna ,” Brian said pointing over at the pool.
“Oh my god, well at least we can’t see them with all that steam,” Nick said.
“What, you’re saying that’s gross! Fine, see if I ever kiss you again!” Angie said smiling. He leaned over and kissed her gently. AJ and Jessica came out of the sauna and walked casually over to the table.
“What?” Jessica asked noticing everyone was staring at her and AJ.
“Nothing,” Angie said laughing. The rest of the night was spent on visiting, eating, and for some, making out.
“Well I guess I’ll see you later,” Nick said as it was time for everyone to leave. Angie wrapped her arms around his neck and laid her head down on his chest.
"I don’t want to leave you!” she said softly.
“Well then don’t, come spend the night at my house,” Nick said kissing the top of her head. She looked up at him and smiled.
"Well come on Ang, let’s get going,” Jessica said coming up from behind them,
“Well actually, I think I’m going to go back to Nick’s place. Is that ok with you?” Jessica looked over at Nick and raised one eyebrow.
"Are you gonna treat her right?”
“Of course, I love her,” Nick said smiling at Angie.
“Ok then, I’ll see ya tomorrow,” Jessica said giving Angie a hug. Jessica got into AJ’s car and headed home. They pulled up to the house and AJ walked Jessica to the door. He leaned down and kissed her lips gently.
“Do you want me to keep you company?” AJ asked hopeful.
“AJ, I can’t I think I just want to be alone tonight. Bye,” she said as she went into the house and shut the door.
