Chapter 2

Felicity pulled into the small parking lot of the restaurant/bar that AJ had told her to meet him at. She probably could have been there sooner, but AJ’s directions weren’t exactly the best in the world. “Turn left at the corner with the McDonalds and then it will be the second… no wait… the third street on your right… I think. I know though that it starts with a T,” she remembered him saying. After driving around in circles for an hour, she finally stopped at a gas station and asked for directions. The guy barely spoke English, yet his directions were a lot easier to understand that AJ’s. She still wasn’t as late as she usually was, which really didn’t matter when she was out with AJ because he was usually late too. Felicity rolled her eyes at the thought of him. He was just too much, unlike any man she had met before. She enjoyed every minute she spent with that man, no matter what they were doing. She couldn’t help but wonder if maybe he was the one, she definitely would mind.

Felicity gave herself the once-over, giving her lips a dab of lip-gloss before heading out of the car. She adjusted her knee length red skirt and black sparkly top as she walked up to the door of the restaurant. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted AJ’s Jaguar sitting in the parking lot. ‘Shit,’ she thought to herself. Perhaps she was a lot later than she thought. She opened the door and immediately spotted AJ sitting at the bar, sipping a beer. He looked great in jeans and a nice blue dress shirt. Quietly, she walked up behind him and placed her hands in front of his eyes.

“Guess who?” she whispered in his ears. A smile spread across AJ’s upon hearing her voice. He didn’t respond, but instead grabbed one of her arms and pulled her onto his lap. She giggled slightly as he pressed his lips to hers. He pulled away and smiled at her.

“Nice of you to finally show up,” he teased letting his hands rest on her waist.

“I would have been here sooner, but I couldn’t find the place thanks to someone’s wonderful directions,” Felicity said exaggerating her point.

“Excuse me I give great directions.”

“Sure ya do sweetie,” she said deciding that it was a lost cause.

“You hungry?”

“Very.”

“Well let’s go get something to eat.” They stood up and he led her to where the hostess stood. “Table for Mclean please.”

The woman looked at the reservations and smiled up at the two. “Right this way please,” she said grabbing two menus and heading through the crowd of tables. AJ and Felicity followed until they reached a little room with a small candlelit table against the wall. “Here you are,” the woman said as she set the menus at their places.

“Thank you,” AJ said to the woman as she exited the room.

“This is nice,” Felicity said as AJ pulled a seat out for her and she sat down.

“A friend told me about this place. He takes his wife here a lot,” AJ said as he sat himself at the seat opposite her.

“It’s very romantic.”

“That’s why you’re here.”

Felicity looked up at him and smiled. “A romantic restaurant huh? What exactly are you trying to get out of me Mr. Mclean?”

“Now am I the kind of guy that would have an alliterative motive for anything?” AJ asked pretending to be shocked that she would think of such a thing.

Felicity rolled her eyes and started to search the menu. The rest of the night went very well. They talked and laughed as they ate their meal. Felicity took off her shoes and rubbed her nylon covered feet against his calves. They hadn’t yet taken their relationship to the physical level, but they both knew that tonight was the night. Neither of them said anything about it; it was just an unspoken understanding between the two. As their diner came to a close, AJ asked if she would like to go to his house so that he could give her the grand tour and introduce her to his dogs that he she had heard so much about. She agreed and they decided that she would follow him in her car, not wanting to leave it in the parking lot. His house was only a few miles away, so it took them a total of ten minutes to arrive at his place inside the gated community. AJ immediately gave her the grand tour, complete with jumping dogs and all, who seemed to take a liking to the young lady, lastly showing her the huge backyard with the spa and pool.

“Not bad if I must say so myself,” Felicity said admiring her surroundings.

“Thanks. This is probably the most relaxing part of the whole place. I like to come back here and just chill in the spa,” AJ said as he dipped his hand in the pool to see what the temperature was.

“Looks very relaxing,” Felicity said as she sat down at a nearby lawn chair.

“Would you like to try it out?”

Felicity looked at AJ with a doubtful look on her face. “I didn’t think to bring my suit with me so I’m gonna have to say no. Unless you want me to swim in my birthday suit?”

“Well…” AJ said with a raised eyebrow. Felicity laughed and rolled her eyes. “I have some extra bathing suits in the pool house.”

“Do I even want to know why you have extra bathing suits?” Felicity asked laughing.

“Girls are always leaving their clothes at my house so I just kind of accumulated them over the past few years.”

“Funny,” Felicity stated sarcastically.

“But really, I always am having friends over and they always feel the need to go swimming when they didn’t bring their suits. So I just went out bought a bunch on sale one day cause I was tired of people jumping in my pool with their clothes on or without if you know what I mean.”

Felicity laughed and got up. “Well then I guess I better go find one my size.”

“They’re in the pool house in the dresser, second drawer on the left. I’ll go change and get some champagne.” AJ kissed her cheek and ran into the house as she walked into the pool house. About five minutes later, AJ walked out to the spa with two glasses of champagne in his hand. He set them down right next to the spa and slipped into the warm water. AJ waited impatiently for Felicity’s arrival, so a huge grin appeared on her face when the door to the pool house opened and she slipped out. He was a little disappointed when he saw a towel wrapped around her body.

“You can really tell that a guy bought all those bathing suits,” Felicity teased as she made her way to the spa.

“And why’s that?” AJ asked pretending to be confused, even though he knew exactly what she was talking about. The bathing suits he bought were a little skimpy, that’s why he bought them.

“Well this one covers the most skin,” Felicity said as she let the towel drop to the ground. AJ’s jaw practically dropped into the bottom of the spa upon seeing which bathing suit she had chosen. It was a dark pink two-piece that had to be one of his favorites. The top was in a tube top style and the bottom was in classic bikini style with two little strings that held it together at the sides. He had seen many of the girls that came to party in the same thing, but none looked as good as she did.

“Pick up your tongue sweetie,” Felicity teased as she slipped into the spa.

“Sorry, but you look just amazing,” AJ whispered as he kissed her lips lightly. He then handed her a glass of champagne and she smiled.

“You are quite the charmer, you know that?”

“Are you complaining?”

“Hell no!” Felicity exclaimed as she took a sip of her champagne. AJ wrapped his arm around her shoulder and she laid her head back on his chest. “You were right, this is very relaxing.”

“Yeah. I love coming in here after a tour or something. It’s a nice place to get away from the screaming girls and the media monster,” AJ said as he stared dreamily up at the sky.

“It’s weird that if you are in fast as famous as you say you are, that I’ve never heard of… umm… what is it… Backdoor Boys?”

“Funny,” AJ said as he tickled her sides. Felicity giggled and tried to get away from his grasp.

“Ok, ok, I give up!” AJ released her and they settled back into the position they were previously in.

“I was talking to my sister the other day and I mentioned the whole Backstreet thing and she went postal on me.”

“She’s a fan I take it?”

“Not really. I mean she has a CD of yours but isn’t a huge super fan or anything like that. She kept asking me why I didn’t say anything sooner and asked if I was ok. I had no clue what she was talking about.”

“Really?” AJ asked confused.

“Then she asked me if I had met any of the other guys. I told her no and she calmed down some, but she was still flipping. It was really weird.”

“That’s odd.”

“Is there something about you guys that I need to know?” Felicity asked suspiciously.

“There’s all those famous orgies and drug parties that we hold, but other than that I can’t think of a thing,” AJ said sarcastically. Felicity laughed and snuggled closer to his body. “Speaking of meeting the guys. I’m throwing a party next week that they’ll be at. You want to come and meet my friends?”

Felicity looked up at him and smiled. “Are they as cute as you?” she asked slyly.

“Cuter,” AJ said as he wrapped both arms around her waist.

“Well then I think I’ll show up,” Felicity said as she pressed his lips to his. Their kiss heated up as AJ pulled her onto his lap. Felicity wrapped both of her arms around his neck and pressed her body close to his. AJ broke away from their kiss and looked deep into her eyes.

“Will you stay with me tonight?” he asked softly.

“I thought you’d never ask,” Felicity replied as she once again pressed her lips against his.
