15 MINUTES LATER OUTSIDE OF THE YOUTH CENTER
"O.k. everybody out" Nick said as he turned off their green jeep
Everyone got out of the jeep and started walking to the door to the Youth Center. Just as Nick went to pull the door open Brian darted across the street
"Brian get back here!" yelled Alex
"Daddy come get me!" Brian yelled back
"Brian Thomas Carter get your butt back here right now or I'll take you home" Nick yelled
"Not until you come get me"
"Brian I'm warning you if I have to come get you I'll take you home right away"
"Fine" Brian yelled as he turned and took off to the back of the club. Nick took off across the street followed by Nicky, Alex and Emma
"Brian don't you dare go inside" Nick yelled as he turned the corner just in time to see Brian open the door and go inside
"Oh great now what are we suppose to do?" asked Nick
"Go in after him dad" said Nicky as he pulled the door open and went in. Alex pulled open the door and let her mother and father in.
"Dad come and get me" Brain said from the doorway of a room at the end of the hallway
"Brian get back here" said Nick
"I said come get me"
Nick ran down the and opened the door to the room Brian was in Brian was sitting on a couch waiting for him
"What took you so long" said Brian
"Brian Thomas Carter get up right now we're going home!" said Nick in a firm voice as he took a step toward Brian letting the door close behind him. Nicky ran to the door and quickly locked it.
"Come on we've got to make sure everyone else is ready" Alex said as she took off down the hall and through the doors that lead to the main area with the stage and dance floor followed by Nicky and Emma
"Hello" she called as she walked into the room "is anybody here?"
"Hi Nicky hi Alex is your dad ready?" asked Cassie as she walked into the room
"Yeah he's ready. Are we the first ones here?" asked Nicky
"No everyone's here except the Dorough's"
"Nicky, Alex where are you guys going?" asked Emma as she walked into the room
"Cassie this is our mom Emma Carter, mom this is Cassie McLean"
"Oh my god Emma, how have you been?" asked Cassie
"I've been great how about you?"
"I'm great"
Just then Gloria, Michael, Jordan and Michela burst in "O.k. we're ready" said Gloria
"Great O.k. everybody let's get the guys in here"
"Stay here for a minute mom we're going to get dad" said Nicky as he and Alex left to go get there father. They walked down the hall and unlocked the door.
"O.k. dad they're ready for you" said Alex as they walked in the room
"Who's ready for me? Alex what are you talking about?" asked Nick
"Come on dad you're gonna be late" said Nicky
"What are you talking about?"
"Before you go you have to put this on" said Brian holding out a blindfold
"What are you three talking about? And where is your mother?"
"She's with everyone else, Now hurry dad put the blindfold on so we can go"
"Who's everyone else? And where are we going?"
"Dad just put on the blindfold and then you can find out what we're talking about"
"Fine" Nick said as he put on the blindfold. Nicky made sure he couldn't see and then the 3 of them lead him to the door that lead to the party room.
"O.k. dad you're about to enter a room when you get in there you can't say anything at all or you'll reck the whole surprise for everyone o.k."
"Fine" Nick agreed reluctantly
Brian held open the door as Nicky and Alex lead Nick into the room where the other 4 guys sat blindfolded waiting for someone to tell them what they're doing sitting in an unknown room blindfolded. Nicky and Alex lead Nick to the empty chair to close the circle the guys were sitting in.
"O.k you're probably wandering why you're here" said Nicky once Nick sat down
"Well here's a hint" said Siearra "What happened exactly 29 years ago today"
The kids gave their fathers about a minute to think about it.
"Still stuck, well maybe this will help" said Bradley as he instructed Cassie to turn on the c.d. player. Seconds later the music came booming out through the speakers "Everybody groove to the music everybody jam". The kids looked around the circle at the looks on their fathers faces then told them to take off their blindfolds
"Oh my god " Nick said as he looked around the room. When he looked beside him he immediately stood up and a tear ran down his cheek "Oh my god Frick"
"Hey Frack!" Brian said with tears in his eyes as he pulled Nick into a big bear hug
"Hey Guys" said A.J. as he walked across the circle towards Nick and Brian who were still hugging
"Hey Bone" they both said letting going of each other. By this time they were both crying. They both hugged A.J.. Then Nick went over to say hi to Howie and Kevin
"Surprise" said Nicky Alex and Brian as they gave their dad a big hug
"Did you guys arrange all this?" he asked
"Well it was originally my idea" boasted Nicky
"Excuse me" said Alex glaring at her brother
"But I couldn't have done it with out the help of all the other kids"
"How did you guys know about this?"
"What the party, we just told you, we organized it" said Brian
"No the whole Sea World, Backstreet Boys thing"
"We found the boxes you have in the basement when we were cleaning it" said Alex
"Alex recognized her boyfriends dad in one of the pictures and we immediately called him to come over......." said Nicky
"How many times do I have to tell you Chris is not my boyfriend!" interrupted Alex
"Sure" said Nicky sarcastically
"He's not" said Alex
"I believe you" Nicky said sarcastically
"He's not we're just friends" Alex protested
"Sure you are" said Nicky
"We are"
"O.k. guys knock it off" said Nick "Nicky continue your story"
"Anyway as I was saying, before I was so rudely interrupted" Nicky said looking at Alex "So we called Chris, and him and his older sister came over and we watched one of the video's you had in the box to find out some information about the group. Then we called uncle Aaron and he told us about your fight and why you didn't tell us about the group. After that we got in contact with all the kids and arranged this whole reunion party thing"
"Oh my god I can't believe you guys went to all that trouble for me and the other guys" Nick said with a tear in his eye
"Hey Frack" Brian said signaling Nick to come over to him
"I'll be right back" Nick said as he got up and walked over to Brian
"What's up Bri?" asked Nick
"Nick I want you to meet my kids Nickolle and Chris" Brian said introducing them
"Oh my god, Nikki. You probably don't remember me But last time I saw you, you were like 4 years old. So how are you doing?" Nick asked
"I'm fine thanks" Nikki said smiling
"Oh god" Nick said suddenly
"What wrong?" asked Brian
"Your names Chris right?" Nick asked Chris
"Yeah why?" asked Chris
"How old are you?" Nick asked
"12, why?"
"What's up Nick?" Brian asked
"You'll see when you meet my kids" Nick said as he signaled his kids to come over"
"What's up dad?" asked Nicky
"Brian these are my kids Nicky Alex and Brian"
"Alex, Nicky, you guys are Nick's kids!" Brian exclaimed
"Yep" they said smiling
"You 2 know each other" said Nick
"Yeah, Alex and Nicky have been over at my house like everyday for the past 2 weeks, and before that Alex used to come over after school to do homework with Chris" said Brian
"Homework you mean you guys go to the same school" said Nick
"Same school, dad we've been in the same class every year since the first grade" said Alex
"What, so that means........ Where do you guys live?" asked Nick
"225 Cherryview cres, why?, Where do you live?" asked Brian
"Same place as always 813 Ruskin"
"So that means we've lived only 4 blocks away from each other for over 12 years and we didn't even notice"
"Oh my god how clueless are we?" asked Nick
"Hey guys what's up?" asked A.J. as he pulled a chair over and sat down beside Nick
"Did you know that me and Nick have lived 4 blocks away from each other for over 12 years and we only found out about 5 minutes ago!" exclaimed Brian
"No way" A.J. said laughing in disbelief "So where do you guys live anyway?"
"No. why?"
"I live about 20 minutes away from you guys, and
Howie's about 5 minutes from me"
"And Kev's in Kissamee" said Brian
"We've gotta finish what we started" said Nick out of the blue
"Yeah I think it's about time we settle the score"
said A.J.
"You're right I think it's time me and Nick finish
kicking your butts" said Brian smiling
"What? But what was it?" asked Nicky impatiently
"Are you guys talking about the game" asked Howie
"What game?" asked Alex
"Well," started Nick "You guys know how we took that
year off just before we broke up right"
"Yeah, why?" asked Nikki
"Well about a week after we got back together we had
a little argument about who knows what...."
"What does everyone want on the pizza?" asked Emma as she towards them holding her cell phone
"Sush I'm telling a story" said Nick "Anyway where
was I, oh yeah so we had little fight so we decided to
settle it the way we always did..........."
"On the court" interrupted Brian
"What you took it to court?" asked Jordan
"No the basketball court" said Kevin
"Yeah, it was me and Brian vs Kev, Bone, and Howie"
"3 against 2, that doesn't seem very fair" said
Courtney
"Trust me, if you saw them play you'd know it was
fair" laughed Brian
"That still doesn't answer my question, what does
that have to do with the big break up?" said Nicky
"About half way through the game Nicky accidentally
stepped on Kevin's toe or something next we knew they
were yelling at each other and then it happened" said
Howie
"What happened?" asked Brian
"He punched me" blurted out Nick
"He what?" asked Amanda
"I punched him" said Kevin quietly
"No way my dad as in the person who grounded me a
week ago for lightly pinching my sister actually
physically punched someone" said Bradley
"Any way so after that, Nick and Kevin stopped coming to rehearsals because they didn't want to see each other. Then Brian stopped coming because he said it wasn't the same without Nick, then me and Howie got
into a fight. So since none of us were even talking to
eachother, we all decided it would be best if we went
our separate ways for a couple days to cool down,
those couple days turned into a couple weeks, the
weeks turned into months, and the months turned into
15 years" said A.J.
"So what do you guys say, should settle the score?"
asked Kevin
"Definitely" said Brian
"Just name date, place, and time and I'll be there"
said Howie
"Me too" said A.J.
"O.K. then, Saturday, my place, 1:00pm" said Nick
"We'll be there" said Brian
