"Zac, what are you doing?" my older brother Taylor asked.
"Nothing," I replied. I didn’t want him to know that I was meeting chicks online.
"Good, you’re up," he said.
I told ‘Kalika Lalita’ I had to go, and promised to e-mail her later.
"Coming," I called. I logged off and shut down my ICQ, then I walked into the recording booth at the studio we were recording in, in California. We were recording for our new album. It was still untitled at the time, so we were just calling it ‘Album X.’ For the next two hours we worked on finishing up a cut of a song called ‘Smile.’ Then my family and I all went to a pizza place down the street dinner.
It wasn’t until 2:00 AM that we were finally finished for the day and went back to our hotel. My mom and younger siblings had left a long time ago, so it was just Dad, Ike, Tay and me.
"Zac, what are you doing?" Taylor asked sleepily as they entered the hotel room and Zac headed for the computer.
"I just have to send a quick e-mail," I said.
"Quiet, we’re going to sleep," Ike said.
"Whatever," I replied.
I logged onto the Internet on the laptop computer, then opened ICQ. I quickly got Kalika Lalita’s e-mail from her profile and logged into my Hotmail e-mail account. I hit the compose button and typed in her email, HansonBabe696@hotmail.com.
"Hey! Itz Psycho_Drummer from ICQ! Told ya I’d write U! Tell me about you? Herez some stuff about me:
I have 2 older bros and 1 younger, and 3 older sis’s. We live in Tulsa (duh!) we travel *a lot* though! As you can probably tell from my sn I’m a drummer! I love 2 bang on stuff! I also write and sing. I don’t really know what else 2 write, so e back A/S/A/P!

I was just about to log off when her name lit up. Suddenly there was a message from her.
Kalika Lalita: Hi! Wuz up?
Psycho_Drummer: Hey! You’re up late!
Kalika Lalita: It’s only 4:00!
Psycho_Drummer: only! *LOL* Itz 2:00 here in CA
Kalika Lalita: I thought ur from OK?
Psycho_Drummer: we’re in CA right now
Kalika Lalita: oh
Psycho_Drummer: wanna chat?
Kalika Lalita: sure
I left clicked the mouse on her name and clicked on ‘open chat.’
Psycho_Drummer: Hi!
Kalika Lalita: Hi again!
Psycho_Drummer: y r u on @ 4:00am?
Kalika Lalita: I wuz uploading stuff 4 my website. I had forgotten to open my ICQ until now though
Psycho_Drummer: kewl. Good timing!
Kalika Lalita: I have 2 do this—LOL
My computer started laughing hysterically.
Kalika Lalita: don’t cha just luv that?
Psycho_Drummer: yeah, itz kewl
Psycho_Drummer: and it bugs my fam!
Kalika Lalita: *LOL* I know what cha mean!
Psycho_Drummer: I hate 2 do this
Psycho_Drummer: but my brothers are telling me
Psycho_Drummer: to shut up and go 2 bed
Psycho_Drummer: and I’ll get in trouble if I don’t
Kalika Lalita: ok : ( I’ll talk 2 ya later
Psycho_Drummer: oh, yeah. I emailed U

I shut down the computer and went to bed.
