Chapter 9
***SNOW***

"Where were you all day?" my mum asked as I entered the house.

I grinned. "Just chillin’ with Zac Hanson!"

"Isn’t he in that band you like?"

I nodded eagerly.

"Ok," Mum said. "I’m not even going to ask how you met."

"Ok," I said. I started to leave, but then remembered to ask her something. "Mum, can I go play paintball with the Hansons?

"Sure, Hun."

The next day at 11:30 AM a big van came by my house to take us over to paintball.

We played the version where you throw paint grenades instead of shooting the guns. Only the older Hanson brothers and I played. Isaac and Taylor vs. Zac and I.

I was sneaking up behind Taylor when someone suddenly covered my mouth with their hand. I gasped in surprise. I was even more surprised when that person turned out to be Zac.

"Shh," he whispered, grinning at me. "I’ve got a plan…"

He explained his paintball plan to me, and then we put it into action. First we hid for a little while until Taylor and Isaac grouped together wondering where we went. Then it was time.

"GOTCHA!" Zac and I yelled, jumping out at them from above and throwing all the grenades we could manage to hold at them.

The older Hanson brothers yelled and ran. Once they got over the shock they attempted to retaliate but we were still ready for them. I be you can guess who won that one!

"That was a great game," Zac said. It was a little later and we were sitting at a table at the paintball place drinking soda.

"Yeah," I agreed, "especially thanks to your sneak attack! That was brilliant!"

"Thank you! Thank you!" he said. "But I must thank Chuckie. I’m pretty sure I saw something like that in one of the ‘Child’s Play’ movies."

I just laughed. I was having such a great time!

"This is so much fun," I said. "I’m having such a bloody good time!"

"British people actually say that?" he asked.

"Well, I do," I told him. "But most people consider my quite strange."

"I can imagine!" Zac joked.

"Hey, Zac," a tall brunette called flirtatiously, walking over to us.

"Oh. Hi, Alina," Zac said with very little enthusiasm.

"I haven’t seen you in so long!" she said, completely ignoring me. "How’s the album?"

"Pretty good. We’re just about finished," Zac told her. "Snow, this is Alina Gibbins. Alina, this is Snow Winters."

"Snow Winters?" Alina asked with a laugh.

"Nice to meet you," I said coldly.

"You, too," Alina said, just as coolly. Then she warmed up to Zac and said, "I’ve got to go, but I’ll see you later, Zac."

"Yeah, bye," Zac said.

"Oh, she’s real nice!" I commented.

"Yeah. Major bitch. She only likes me because of my fame and thinks she can meet some famous people through me."

"Bummer. I hate it when people try to use other people."

"I totally agree."

I smiled at him. This is was a great day.
