"Of course I'll come down! Well, that is, if my mom will let me. Thanks a lot, Chris," 15-year-old Justin Timberlake said and hung up the phone.
"Who's Chris? Why are you so happy?" his best friend, Haley Stevens, questioned.
"Chris is this guy I met at auditions and he wants me to be in his band." Justin informed her.
"Oh, cool...what do you mean 'if my mom let's me go'?"
"He's down in Florida," he said.
"But your mom would never spend her money on tickets to Florida so you can meet some guy for a few days hoping to join a band." Haley said.
"For your information, he said I'm ALREADY in the band." Justin said meanly.
"Yeah, so? Your mom still isn't gonna let you go down for a few days by yourself," she pointed out.
Justin pulled out a chair and sat down, "My parents have been thinking about moving there anyway."
"Moving?! You can't move!" Haley cried.
"I can't stop them from moving," he said quietly,"But if we do move, this band thing can help me to get where I wanna be someday."
"C'mon Justin, can't you argue with them or something?" she asked.
"Why would I wanna do that? Didn't you hear what I said? I'm gonna be in a band now. This could be a chance of a life time!" he said.
"But-" Haley objected.
"Sorry, Haley, I'm joining this band."
