He looked at Nick and said, "Are you her boyfriend?"
"No, ummmmm well actually, I'm her best friend.", Nick replied shyly.
Nicole smiled at his shyness.
"Oh sorry. Well, are you available to take of Miss. Erickson until her leg heals, because as you told me, her family and yours are on vacation."
"Sure."
"Great, because I'm pretty sure that she would rather have her boy..., I mean best friend take care of her instead of a nurse. By the way, don't you have school?"
"Yeah, but today is Saturday and my other best friend, Brian can fill in on the weekdays until 3:30."
"Well.... I guess that would work. Okay, I'll be seeing you in 4 weeks, Miss. Erickson. Oh and make sure you pick up her crutches and wheelchair before you leave."
"Ok thanks again, Dr. Halliwell!", Nick and Nicole said at the same time.
"Your welcome. Now I know why you guys are best friends."
Nicole sat in the hospital wheelchair as Nick pushed her to the lobby, towards Brian.
They found him sleeping in a chair.
"Hey Bri. Wake up man.", Nick said gently
"Okay mommy, I'm ready for school."
"What the.... Oh nevermind, let's go get the crutches and wheelchair.", Nick declared.
