"Huh?"
Nicole opened her eyes to find a blue-eyed blonde staring straight into her eyes.
"Oh hey Nick. OWWW! Shit my leg!"
"Are you alright?"
Nicole didn't seem to hear him so he ran into the bathroom and took out the pain killers he had put there the night before.
He came back and gave her the tablets and water.
"Are you okay?", Nick asked in a concerned tone.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry about it."
"Well in that case, I made you breakfast. French toast, maple syrup, and scrambled eggs."
"Nick you didn't have too. Mmmmm, it smell great. Thanks Nick."
"Welcome!"
Nick helped her up and placed some pillows behind her.
Nick watched as she ate.
She's beautiful. What's wrong with me? She's my best friend, I can't like her, Nick thought to himself
"Nick!"
"Huh? What?"
"God, it's about time you answered. Why are you staring at me like that? Is there like something stuck in my teeth?"
Nick felt himself beginning to blush.
"I...I...ummmm, have to go check on Brian.", he stammered out.
He quickly ran out of the room after tripping on his chair.
I wonder what that was all about, Nicole thought.
As soon as she finished eating, she heard the loudest scream in her life coming from downstairs.
