After a whole day of working on the surprise for Hope. It was finally done. I ordered food from the fanciest restaurant that I could find, since I couldn't cook. I lit candles around the house played soft music. Tonight was special.

"Yo Frick. It's me man. Open up.", Nick called out.
I opened the door and let him in.
"Whoa! This place looks nice. She's gonna be so happy."

"Hey Bri, why are ya doing all this anyway?"

I slowly walked down the hall to Brian's room. I knocked in the door softly and he answered.
"Hi. Come on in."
I gasped at the sight of the room.
"All of this-"
"For you.", he finished.
She walked around and glanced at the table filled with delicious food.
"You look GREAT!"
I felt myself blush.
"Thanks. So do you."
He was wearing baggy khakis and a blue shirt.
"Thanks. You're wearing my favorite color. It looks great on you. It brings out the beaultiful blue eyes of yours."
I blushed even harder.
"Thanks. You wanna eat?"
"I thought you'd never ask."
When we were done, Brian asked if I wanted to dance. How could refuse?
He went over to the stereo that the hotel supplied and played "I Wanna Know" by Joe.

As the song ended Brian, leaning close to me so that our faces were only inches apart. He slowly brushed his lips against mine as I felt an electric shock go through my body.
He deepened the kiss and a few moments later I broke it because I remembered Mark and the story of my life. I ran out crying. Leaving him there to figure out what had just happened.
