Once Kat had gotten off the phone with Megs she quickly walked into the other room to see Nick. Thinking to herself, she remembered about how lonely and miserable she had been before Nick had come and literally rescued her. She smiled as she walked into her room and saw Nick laying on her bed flipping through tv channels. Quietly, she snuck up behind him and jumped on his back, covering his eyes. Nick smiled as the guessing game began…
“Hmmm I wonder who it could be.” Nick pondered aloud. “Amy?”
His response was a swift, yet hard flick of his ear.
“Guess I was wrong…” He said laughing. “Hmmm….Brian?”
At this, Kat started giggling and immediately gave away her cover as Nick pulled her to him so that he was on top of her. Quickly he kissed her.
“Kat!” He yelled triumphantly.
Giggling, she pulled him to her and kissed him, completely forgetting about the plans they’d made hours earlier.
“Honey, you ready yet?” Brian called to Amy from the hall outside her room.
“Be done in a minute!” She replied through the door while frantically running around looking for her other shoe.
“Bri honey, have you seen my other black heel?” She questioned.
“Under the bed…” he replied nonchalantly, as he grabbed the car keys and his wallet from the table.
“A HA!” Amy yelled as she grabbed the heel out from under the bed.
“Kay! Let’s go!” She yelled to Brian while walking out the front door to find him already in the car and ready to go. Smiling at him she hopped in the car and they sped off towards the restaurant.
Once Amy and Brian reached the restaurant, they were almost immediately seated. Surprisingly, Nick and Kat hadn’t arrived yet.
“Are you sure we’re late?” Amy questioned Brian with a concerned look.
“Yeah…We were supposed to meet them at 7:30, it’s 7:45 now.” Brian informed her.
“That’s weird…”Amy replied. “I guess we’ll just wait.”
As Lea shut the door on Kevin’s face she turned her back against the door and slid down it crying. I loved him… She thought to herself, half blaming herself for being so stupid and gullable.
“I need to call Meg…” She whispered to herself before standing up and going into the kitchen to grab the cordless phone.
With shaky fingers, she slowly dialed her cousin’s number and listened to it ring, hoping she was home.
The phone rang shrilly as Meg groggily reached over to pick it up.
“Whoever the hell this is, it better be good.” She grumpily said into the phone.
“Megs?” Lea asked sobbing. Quickly Meg shot up into a sitting position and her face clouded with worry for her cousin.
“Lea? Baby what’s wrong??” She questioned with concern.
“It’s…it’s Kevin. He’s back...he’s back with Kristen.” Lea sobbed into the phone. “He came over to see me a few minutes ago and told me that…that he’s in love with Kristen again. I’m not good enough for him Meg.”
“Lea, don’t you dare even think that. He’s not good enough for you if he’s gonna go and do that! I can’t believe him! Listen to me sweetie, you get yourself under control, and come right over here. I’ll go out and grab some Ben and Jerry’s and we’ll rent ‘Body Shots’ and Slumber Party Masacre III. ‘Member how much fun we had watchin them??” Meg quickly told Lea. Lea laughed at the memory of them as young teenagers in Lea’s room watching these movies.
“Yeah…yeah I’ll be right over Meg. Thank you…” Lea replied before hanging up and walking out the door to her car.
Sighing, Meg placed the phone back on it’s cradle and slipped out of bed. Walking downstairs, she turned to go into the kitchen and grabbed migraine medicine from the cabinet.
“I’m gonna definitely need this…” she said to herself
“What are you doin up honey?” AJ questioned from the doorway as Meg jumped.
“Lea just called.” Meg informed AJ. “Apparently, Kevin’s in love with Kristen again and dumped my girl like a bad habit. She’s really upset so I told her I’d get sum ice cream and movies and she could come over so maybe she’ll feel better. So I’m gonna go out and do just that.”
“Want me to go somewhere else?” AJ questioned.
“No baby it’s fine. We’ll just be in the living room kay?” Megs questioned before kissing him lightly.
“That’s cool. I’ll just be in the basement writing some music. Call me if you need anything.” AJ replied before walking downstairs as Meg walked out the door to get ice cream and movies.
