Chapter 32: I Could Not Ask For More

“Lying here with you, Listening to the rain, Smiling just to see the smile upon your face, These are the moments I thank God that I'm alive, These are the moments, I'll remember all my life, I found all I've waited for, And I could not ask for more, Looking in your eyes, Seeing all I need, Everything you are is everything to me, These are the moments, I know heaven must exist, These are the moments I know all I need is this, I have all I've waited for, And I could not ask for more”

Brian and Amy pulled into Nick’s driveway around 20 minutes later with Amy’s music blaring on the stereo and her singing rather loudly. Brian just smirked and popped in the Eiffel 65 cd, putting it on “Blue”. Amused, he watched Amy stop singing and look shocked at the ‘horrid’ music that had just come on.

“ I can not believe you just put that shit on!” She said, shocked. “What’d ya do that for??!!” Brian just laughed

“We’re heeeereeeee.” he replied in a sing song voice.

“Dammit all ya had to do was say so!” Amy muttered while climbing out of the car as Brian laughed.

They quickly walked up to the door and knocked, waiting to see their friends.

“Mmmmm Kat” Nick moaned while Kat kissed him in various places, leaving them both undressed yet again. Suddenly they heard the knocking of the door. Nick’s eyes flew open as he reached for his clothes and Kat quickly jumped off of him as she grabbed her shirt from a nearby chair.

“Shit, that’s them!” Kat yelled while running around grabbing her clothes and trying to fix her hair at the same time.

“Kat, baby, calm down. Ok, I’ll go get the door, and you finish getting ready. Ok?” Nick questioned while pulling his shirt on.

“Sounds good.” she told him while pulling him in for a small kiss. Quickly the kiss turned passionate and they’d forgotten about Amy and Brian until they knocked on the door yet again.

“Right…door.” Nick said while running down the steps to grab the door. Hurriedly he ran downstairs and to the front door. With his hand on the doorknob he quickly looked in the mirror to check if he looked okay, then opened the door. “Hey Guys! What’s up?” Nick questioned leaning on the doorframe, exhausted.

As soon as they’d grabbed the ice cream and movies, Lea and Megs had headed downstairs to start the movie marathon. The first movie had been Pyscho, then American Werewolf in Paris, followed by Rosemary's Baby, and Firestarter. By the time the movies had ended, the girls had shared their stories on both guys, Kevin and AJ, had boy bashed, cried, laughed, and ate ice cream. It was their ritual when one of them had broken up with their boyfriend and it had been good for Lea as far as Meg could see. Meg sat on the couch while Lea laid down, head in Meg’s lap while Meg softly played with her hair and watched the rest of Firestarter. By the end of the last movie, Meg was pretty confident that Lea was gonna be okay. She quickly glanced down at her cousin to find her sleeping. Smiling to herself, Meg carefully picked Lea’s head up off her lap, got up, and laid her down back down on the couch. Then grabbing the blanket from the back of the couch she covered Lea up. Checking on her one last time, Meg made her way over to the tv, shut it off, and walked upstairs. Once in the kitchen, she found a note from AJ saying that he was out with Cate trying to see if they could find her help. Laying down on the couch in the living room, Meg told herself she would just watch tv for a while until AJ came home. After laying down for a few minutes, Megs had drifted into a deep sleep.

Cate and AJ had driven all over Orlando looking for a place for Cate to find help. Finally, they stopped in a parking lot to look at the phone book.
“I think I found something…” AJ informed Cate. “It’s about 2 blocks away from here. Wanna try it?”
“Ummm…yeah. Yeah I do.” Cate told him looking somewhat hesistant.
“Cate, I promise, if you don’t like it, you don’t have to go okay?” he reassured her as a wave of relief came over Cate.
“Thanks..” She whispered. “Now come on, let’s check it out.”
Once they had driven over to this place, Cate instantly felt as if she could get help here. Looking at AJ, he saw what she felt and smiled.
“Come on girl, let’s get you some help.” He told her as they got out of the car and walked into the clinic.
After asking many questions and getting many answers that pleased the both of them, Cate finally decided that this is where she wanted to be.
“Now we will have to have you stay overnight dear, is that alright?” The receptionist questioned.
“Yes, that’s fine. I’ve packed an overnight bag just in case.” Cate informed the woman.
“Well then, let’s take you back to a room, It’s getting rather late.” The receptionist said as Cate turned to AJ with tears in her eyes and smiled.
“I’m gonna get well.” she told him as she hugged him. “Thank you for helping me…” AJ smiled
“No problem C. You know the number if you need me.” He reminded her as the receptionist lead Cate back to a room and AJ walked out to his car.
Looking at the time, he noticed that time had passed rather quickly and it was 12am now. He quickly turned on his car and drove home to Meg, hoping she wasn’t worried. He picked up his cell phone and dialed his number. It just rang so he quickly left a small message when the machine picked up, telling Meg he was okay and on his way home, assuming Lea and Meg were still watching movies. About 10 minutes later, AJ pulled into his driveway, got out of the car and walked to the door. Unlocking it he walked in and smiled, seeing his girlfriend curled up on the couch sleeping with the tv on. Quietly he crept over to the tv, turned it off and walked over to the couch. He sat down, just watching Meg and smiled before lightly touching her cheek.
“I’ll never hurt you like Cate was hurt baby…I promise. I love you.” He whispered as he picked her up and took her up to their bed.
