*~* Chapter 41: Private Emotion *~*

"It's a private emotion that fills you tonight and the silence falls between us as the shadows steal the light. And where ever you may find it, where ever it may lead,Let your private emotion come to me (come to me, come to me)Come to me. When your soul is tired and your heart is weak. Do you think of love as a one way street, well it runs both ways, Open up your eyes. Can't you see me here? How can you deny?"

The dinning room went silent. EVERYONE was there. Well except for Kat & Nick, for obvious reasons. Megs looked up and gazed around solemnly for moment.
"I'm sorry. I, uh..I got to go." She mumbled before scrambling to her feet and rushing out of the restaurant.
"I'll go after her." Amy volunteered. Brian gave her a selfish look of yearning. The girls silently decided not to bombard Megs and let Amy go alone.
"Shit." AJ whispered. His face contorted to an expression of pure horror and pain.
"She didn't say she didn't love you, she just said she was too young." Em reminded, hoping to comfort him.
"I'm not giving up." He replied with determination. "But I think for once I am going to go home. I want one of the guys to give her my number. We need some space." He added before leaving. Howie sighed to himself. He wanted to go after his friend to comfort him and rebuild the friendship that had been ignored lately. But he wanted to tell Em how he felt too. He chose the first, in the end. He stood up.
"I'm going with him." He announced before walking after AJ. Brian shifted a nervous glance at Em. She smiled a bright fake smile for him. He smiled back before his eyes diverted back at the empty chair beside him.

Kat ran into Amy & Megs at Amy & Cate's house.
"Where's Cate?" She asked urgently.
"The B & R restaurant down the road." Amy informed her before she ran off again. She had to get Cate and talk to her. She didn't even hide her bruises, there obviously wasn't time.
What if Nick knew she was gone by now. The though scared her, making her run faster. Her tiny legs running as fast as possible. She ran into the fancy dinning room and immediately saw the table. They looked at her in shock.
"Cate!" She exclaimed.
"Kat, are you okay?" Kevin asked worried.
"I need Cate." She announced. Cate stood up.
"What for?" Cate asked.
"No time, just come." Kat ordered and they ran out of the dinning room.
"The plot thickens." Kevin whispered under his breath but the silence at the table made it so everyone heard him.
"I'm so sick of this. Do you guys mind if I go home?" Em asked.
"No, I'll take care of the bill. You can all go." Kevin offered. Kristin sat up jokingly and Kevin pulled her down unto his lap.
Mark and Lissa stood up. "You want a ride home?" Mark offered Em. She politely said no and left. Lissa grabbed Mark's hand and he escorted her out. Brian sat idle for awhile before also leaving.

"What is this all about?" Cate asked curiously as she ran with Kat to Kat's house.
"Nick, what has it always been about." Kat stated.
"Good he's still in there." Kat noticed as she saw him still trying to break down the door.
"He's changed so much." Cate observed. They looked at him through a window.
"I can't take this anymore. I know we've never been real close because of him but he won't be himself for me. I needed someone who knew him, who had stuff against him when he was himself. We got to get him back to normal." Kat explained.
"Then we need just two more people." Cate whispered. Kat looked at her sorrowfully. "I was hoping we could leave them out of it." Kat pleaded..
"It's the only way it'll work." Cate replied. They walked away from the house and sat on the sidewalk, both breaking out their cells and calling two people to get down here quick. Em's phone rang right as she entered the house.
"Hello?" She answered quickly as she heard Kat tell her to meet her at her house on foot. Cate called the last girl and she would be there just as quick since she heard the story. Em made it there first.
"Okay, what am I doing here?" She asked.
"Helping Nick." Cate informed her.
"There is no helping Nick." Em replied angrily. Kat glanced downward sorrowfully.
"Fine, what are we waiting for?" Em asked, giving in for Kat.
"Her." Cate said pointing at Amanda Willaford, who was walking towards them briskly.
"So how are we going to help Nick?" Em asked not convinced at all.
"Make him want to be good and normal and want to love again." Kat passionately explained. The four women silently walked to the house.
