Brian slowly woke up and suddenly felt cold. Looking down he quickly realized what had happened the night before just by the loss of his clothes and sleeping Amy in his arms. Suddenly a massive headache overwhelmed him as last night's events played back through his head. Quickly he grabbed the blanket, threw it around them both and carried Amy upstairs to get her dressed and to figure out what he would do with this conflict.
"mmm, 'mornin." Brian heard Amy quietly say as he sat in a chair in his room looking out the window after dressing her and placing her in his bed.
"Morning..." he replied seeming rather distant.
"What's up?" She asked as she walked over to where he was sitting.
"Please tell me last night was just a dream?" he asked Amy with pleading eyes.
"Please tell me it wasn't," She replied rather offended. "I can't believe you just said that Brian. "You don't know how long I've been waiting for that and how much that meant to me and you're literally telling me it meant nothing to you?!" Amy continued as the tears came down her face.
"Look, Amy I just...I don't know what to say. I'm so sorry. I love Emily..." he told Amy while trying to decipher what her face was saying.
"Well..." Amy started while choking back more tears. "I hope you two are happy together." Amy ran out of the room crying and into her own room. Brian heard a door slam and loud sobbing as he sat in his room with his head in his hands and tears in his eyes.
* In Meg's Room *
Meg sat in bed, laying in Aj's arms just thinking about the past days events and how heartbroken she had been. Her and AJ had talked though afterwards and had worked it all, yet Lissa and Em were no where to be found. Megs was really worried about Lissa so she quietly took Aj's arm from off her waist and climbed out of bed, going downstairs to the kitchen. As she walked into the kitchen she found Cate making breakfast and sat down at the kitchen table.
"Hey Cate". Megs said.
"Oh hey Megs what's up?" Cate replied.
"Nothing really. Um, Cate? I was wondering if you could do me a favor?" Megs asked while fiddling with the tablecloth nervously.
"Sure Megs, what is it?" Cate inquired.
"Well...could you possibly tell me where Lissa is? I think her and I really need to talk and I know she must be really hurt right now." Megs answered as she finally stopped fiddling with the tablecloth.
"Actually Lissa should be coming home today or tomorrow. Think it could wait 'til then? I don't wanna give you the number without asking her ya know?" Cate answered. "Sure Cate that's fine, thanks! I'm gonna go wake up AJ now. See ya in a bit." Megs said as she gave Cate a quick hug and walked upstairs and into the room she shares with AJ. He's so adorable when he sleeps. Oh well! she thought to herself as she climbed on to the bed and kissed AJ, waiting for him to awake and kiss her back. Suddenly his lips came alive and his arms pulled her closer to him as the kiss ended.
"Hey baby" he whispered to her.
"Hey hunnie." She replied smiling as AJ pulled her back into his embrace and she laid down in his arms.
* Double Tree Inn *
Lissa sat in the dining room of the hotel quietly sipping her coffee and reading the day's paper.
"Can I get you anything else miss?" she suddenly heard. Lissa looked up and in front of her was standing this gorgeous waiter smiling at her. Gaining up all her courage and figuring she had nothing to lose she quickly put on a smile and answer, "Mm hmm, your number would be nice." The waiter's smile got wider as she scribbled down his number and handed the paper to her, smiling once again, then walking away.
"Mind if I sit here for a minute?" Lissa heard as she looked up and found a waitress about 5'3 with reddish-brown hair and a tan complexion looking at her, awaiting an answer patiently.
"Sure, no problem." Lissa politely replied while removing her paper from the other chair.
"Thanks so much!" the girl replied, smiling.
"OK now how'd you do it?" the waitress asked laughingly.
"Do what?" Lissa asked, clearly puzzled. "Get Mark's number! I mean I don't mean to be forward by asking you this but I've been trying to get with him since forever! We met in an Old Navy store that he used to work at in the mall and then met up once again when he came to work here."(MN: LMAO Chels!!)
Lissa laughed at hearing this and debated against confiding in her. One look at this girl told her that yes, she could confide in her as Lissa quickly told the girl her story with AJ up to how she's gotten Mark's number.
"Wow. Oh I'm so terribly sorry about all of that...Oh I don't even know your name do I?" She asked laughing to herself. "No I don't think you do, I'm Lissa." The waitress smiled.
"Hi Lissa, I'm Chelsea. Call me Chels though, everyone does. Hey anyway I'm off break! I should get to work, but here's my number. Call me sometime! Maybe we could hang out?" Chels asked as she wrote down a number and handed it to Lissa.
"Sure! That'd be great!" Lissa replied as Chels went back to work and Lissa paid for her bill.
* In the hotel room *
Em had just gotten out of the shower and dressed when the phone rang.
"Hello?" Em asked into the receiver.
"Hey baby girl, I miss you." Em smiled as Brian's voice came flooding into her ears.
"Awww baby I missed you too! What have you been up to lately? You and Amy keeping each other company?" Em asked.
"Ummm yeah. We've hung out. That's it though, that's all we did, I mean I did all weekend." Brian replied becoming suddenly nervous and uneasy.
"Oh OK, sounds like fun." Em told him, noticing the nervous tension.
"Well baby girl, I've gotta go...do something. I just wanted to call and say hi." Brian told her.
"OK Brian, I'll talk to you soon."
"OK, bye"
"Bye"
* Back at Amy and Cate's house*
Nick sat in the living room playing Nintendo 64 as Kat walked in from the kitchen and sat down.
"Hey" She said to him. "Hi!" Nick said, not taking his eyes off the screen.
"Look baby! I'm winning! YESS!!!! YESSS I WON!" Nick screamed jumping up and down then suddenly twirling around, grabbing Kat and kissing her passionately.
At first Kat was going to pull away but it felt too good, and too right so she placed her arms around his neck and deepened the already passionate kiss. The kiss suddenly ended as quickly as it'd begun and when Nick opened his eyes, expecting to see Cate, he saw Kat.
"Oh my god..." he whispered.
"I've done a bad bad thing..." (MN: hahaha! Ok I just got done reading "Of Mice and Men" and Lennie from the story always says that so yeah...lol)(EN: Megs is just evil, ignore her...*Giggles*)(MN: haha am not Em!! ok well yeah..maybe hehehehe)
