Prologue

"This is so not happening to me." Jayme groaned as she was hit with a hectic schedule from Erin.

"Jayme I'm sorry but we only have a few weeks to get all of this done to prepare for your new album." Erin told her rubbing her arm.

"But we haven't even started recording yet, why all this?"

"For one so we can let everyone know you are recording a new album and two so we can have this out of our way and you can take a few weeks off before recording, you've been busy all year and you deserve and need this break."

A smile crept across Jayme's face, "a few weeks off?" She grinned.

Erin smiled knowing what Jayme was thinking about, or rather who she was thinking about, "yup, that means a few weeks with Nick and no camera's."

Jayme's smile only grew and she grabbed Erin in a hug, "thank you, thank you, thank you. I can't wait to tell Nick." She pulled away and Erin smiled at the look on Jayme's face."

"Your happy aren't you?"

"When it comes to Nick I'm always happy." Jayme smiled.

Nick sighed as he stepped off stage for what seemed like the hundredth time, another show was over and now it was time to go to another city, for another show. It's not that he didn't love being on tour and singing to all his fans but he was tired and hungry and he missed his girlfriend so badly.

He made his way to the dressing room to change into his own clothes, thinking of Jayme the entire time. It had been months since he's seen her, months since he'd touched her and showed her how much he loved her. And it had been days since he'd even heard her voice. He missed her so much his body suffered. That couldn't be good could it?

In his van on the way to another hotel his cell phone rang and played a familiar song, he grinned and quickly answered it.

"Jayme!" He said excitedly through the phone.

"How did you know it was me?" Jayme asked.

"My cell phone played 'I wanna love you forever." He said simply.

Although he couldn't see Jayme he knew she was smiling and that only made his smile grow.

"I'm smiling right now." She told him.

"I know."

"I love you Nick, how long has it been since I've told you that?"

Nick rested his head against the seat and sighed, "too long. Say it again."

"I love you Carter."

"I love you too."

"Our anniversary is coming up."

"I know, in two months we will be celebrating our one year together."

"One year....wow."

"Do you regret anything?"

"Yeah."

Her answer caused Nick to jump up and his eyes widen, "What?"

Jayme laughed, "its not bad silly, I just regret that we didn't celebrate it sooner, if I hadn't been such and idiot we would have gotten together a lot sooner."

"I was an idiot too." Nick said and laid his head against the seat again.

"But we are together now and that's all that matters."

"I know, but I miss you Jayme. So much. It's been so long since I've seen you."

"I know baby. I miss you too. But in about two weeks I have some time off, I can see you then."

"Hopefully."

"What do you mean by hopefully?"

"It's just that something always seems to keep us apart."

"It won't this time. I won't let it. I have to go now I'm gonna be busy for a while. I'll try and call you soon."

Yeah soon, Nick thought. He probably wouldn't hear from her for a few months.

"Nick are you there?"

"Yeah."

"Tell me you love me."

"I love you Jayme, forever."

"I love you too Nick."
