News from The Pisst-Off Androids

2.1.04

We are awaiting the arrival of our new CDs. Hopefully they will be here by Winter Carnival, if not, by that weekend. We just finished Adam's song "Piracy on the Open Seas (of the Keweenaw). It rocks hard. We also have an instrumental, and are working on Tony's doubleshot songs. Check us out this week during Winter Carnival.

12.7.03

We just put together two new songs today, a doubleshot ska-ballad you could call it. It’s two songs, with the first being a fast punk song about school with a rap breakdown ending leading into a very groovin dancible second song about the 80’s. They should be ready by our next show. Also when Adam gets back next semester, we’ll finish his new song, so we’ll have atleast 3 new songs for the spring semester. We are also trying to figure out the CD packaging and replication, so we can have that ready for next term. It is still unnamed as of now, but Todd’s friend drew us a sweet picture that we’ll use either for the cover or the back cover. Also, we’ll probably have our second trombone player next semester cuz he’ll be able to walk again and we’ll be back at school. That’s all the news as of now.

9.29.03

Well, it’s been a long time. Fall semester is already a third done. We haven’t done any shows, but look for us in Ocotober. Adam is on co-op and so Jeff Dambrun is filling in for the semester. We had two new trombone players but one got into a serious car accident and so he is also out for the semester. But Todd is playing trombone for us and adding an awesome sound to the horn section. We are working on a few new songs so be ready to be rocked. We also recorded in the spring and this summer I finished mixing the tracks that didn’t get mixed earlier. The recording sounds awesome and we are working on getting it printed professionally so we can have a high quality CD put out.

Spring semester is winding to a close and so is POA for the summer. We ended the semester with a small tour (Houghton) with The Hypocrites (a punk band), doing 3 shows in 3 days. Matt Hamel played his last show and will no longer be playing with us. He will be on co-op next fall. We have 2 trombone players replacing him in the fall (see, it takes to replace him). Big fat thanks goes to Matt for all his hard work and dedication to the band. We'll miss ya buddy. We'll also have some new songs in the fall and hoping to finish up our recording to release our next album. This one was actually professionally recorded, so the sound will be much better. Over the summer, we are going to send some of the demo copies to labels, hoping that maybe somebody will like us. So, check us out in the fall, when we continue the destruction and annihilation of Tech's campus.

3.28.03

Well, we have a show tonight. In the MUB. It is always fun to play there, the crowd is always fun. We just got a copy of the first three songs for our new CD that are finished. The vocals still have to be reworked on a few, but they sound great. We go back into the studio in a few weeks to record the rest of our songs. A new CD should be expected some time in the fall of 2003. A really good sounding one. Other than that, we are rocking away and trying to write some new songs.

2.13.03

POA is on its way to world dominance. Not really, but we definitely took Winter Carnival by storm, but apparently the show turned out not to be a contest (somehow), but oh yes, our crowd was by far the best. We've already had two awesome shows this month, and one more coming up. We released our live show CD "Skanktron Comes Alive" available for $2 and we have shirts on the way. They will be $7. We are also going into the studio this month. On Feb. 23, we will be recording at the Rozsa center's recording studio. We'll probably end up recording half our songs now, and then go into the studio again later in the semester and record the rest to put out a fully-full length album that sounds good.

~Tony

11.17.02

So things are going good. We played three weekends in a row, sold some CDs, rocked some faces, but most importantly: created a brand new Skanktron. Skanktron 9000 was revealed at our show at the skatepark this weekend. Hopefully he will stick around for a while and not get destroyed. Check out all the pages, as major updating has occured.

10.3.02

It's been a while since we've updated this. Well, Doug will be stepping down from playing bass due to time conflicts and so Austen Smith will be replacing him. Big THANKS goes to Dug for his time with us and for rocking out on the bass. Look for us in about a month, we're doing a show put on by DHH hall council. You can still get a copy of our CD. Talk to one of us or send the money through the mail. We're also working on some new songs.

4.23.02

BREAKING NEWS FLASH: The Pisst-Off Androids have recently been charted at number 30 on WMTU's College Music Journal charts. This is just one step closer to World Domination. Anyways, come check us out this Friday. We are playing two shows.

4.20.02

We played at the Battle of the Bands in Escanaba last night. Our posse showed up late, but we played well. We got shafted we think in the judging, but oh well. Despite that, we had a really good time. There were girls all wanting us to sign shit and stuff for them, all be it High School girls, but girls is girls. We sold a lot of Cd's there...blah blah blah. We're gonna hit up the Houghton area next weekend, so get ready...because we're all pissed off about not winning gas money. Peace and unity all

~Adam

4.18.02

So CD's are completed. They are $5 each. You can buy them at our shows, or from us directly. We have confirmed our show at the Dee Skatepark, and tomorrow night the Escanaba quadrant will be rocked. Other than that, there is no real news. Peace

4.12.02

We have been busy as of late. Our first CD "Rocking Face" has been mostly finished. Once we get the booklets and CD backboards from the copy shop, they will be ready for sale. The sound quality is pretty good, if you've seen us live and enjoyed the show you will most likely want to pick up the CD. We haven't set a price yet, but it will most likely be 5 dollars. In addition to this, we've gotten 2 very possibly 3 shows in the next 2 weeks. Check out the Shows section of the site for info on that. Keep it hard

~Adam

3.28.02

Ok, so as I'm sitting here i'm listening to our demo tape. It's more ghetto than a SWFS CD, but it will work for getting us into the battle of the bands in Escanaba. Yes, you heard right...we will be playing at a battle of the bands in Escanaba. Date is April 19th...there will be more info later. In other important Androids news, we will be recording this weekend. Expect a CD out very shortly, but we aren't sure of the date that it'll become available on. Again, check out the site, or e-mail us. They'll probably be available by mail for those of you who don't live anywhere near us. Rock on

~Adam

1.23.02

Well, first update of 2002. We have found a trumpet player finally, his name is Andy. We're working on a couple more songs, and sometime before the end of the school year there could be some recorded material. That would be the shit. In addition to that, we're planning on setting up a few shows, so you should keep up on that. Oh yes, and assuming that Atom and his Package makes his way up to Houghton, the Pisst-Off Androids will be opening for him. That is all, you should check out the site for some more additions/deletions.

~Adam

11.10.01

So tonight is our first show. It's gonna be a small thing in the basement of the WMTU house. It should rock, we're playing with Andore, a band made up of some other WMTU staff people, and Old Victoria, an indie rock type band. I just got a new copy of dreamweaver. So sometime within 90 days, this page will be updated again, and it shall be good. Not much else is going on, we've got some new songs now. Nothing on MP3 yet, but that might be coming soon. Oh yeah, and we're gonna be making a live tape of our show tonight, and possibly a live CD. We'll have to see how that works out, but you should check the merchandise page periodically and see if there's anything there. Ok, I am out.

~Adam

7.7.01

Well, it's summer time and i'm sitting around on my ass with nothing to do. So I download Dreamweaver 4.0 and go to work on re-building the PoA website. It's almost all brand new, i just copied and pasted a few things...but the rest is new. I hope you enjoy. There actually was some thought put into the site this time, yes, i'm fucking serious. But not too much, don't worry...I didn't fret myself. Anyways, we haven't all been in the same place at the same time this summer, so not much has gotten done. Hopefully we're gonna have new member pages up soon, but for now you'll just have to settle with what i put up on this update. Peace

~Adam

5.1.01

Damn it's been a long time. I should really update this page more often. Well, let's see what's been going on...Doug is a sweet bass player and has been a very welcomed addition to our already rocking band. We have a small fan base which is composed of people who watched us make asses of ourselves (i.e. Wads Basement shows). We have several songs that are nearing completion...unfortunately the summer is getting close...so thinks will probably be put on hold for a while. We'll keep you posted on what's up. Oh yeah, Poulios will be auctioning off a Chevy Soccer ball on E-Bay which will feature the autographs of each member of the band. Collectors items like this don't come around every day, the PoA robot even played with it. Well, keep on checking the site, things are being updated sporatically.

~Adam

1.30.01

Let's see...our band is close to completion. We may actually have someone to play bass for us. We have our first song nearly written, only lacking a bass part. The site has been updated, but i'm sure you already know that...go look at some of the other pages, you might find something interesting, but you won't here because there isn't much news.

~Adam

12.15.00

Well, we have a website now. We still haven't played a show yet, or even written more than half of a song. We still don't have all of our band together, and we still haven't been arrested. Over Christmas vacation there is talk of a demo tape though, so keep your eyes out. If we do complete said demo tape, we might perform at the Winter Carnival Band thing, but that's an if. Really, there isn't much news...I just have too much time on my hands. Peace out
