Disney Channel special taping
Disney Channel in concert special with
Jessica Simpson and Jason Raize

Recently I was fortunate enough to win a spot on the guest list to attend the taping of the Jessica Simpson and Jason Raize in concert special for the Disney Channel. It was the best night of my life! We got there at 4 and scored an excellent spot in line- we were the 3rd group! So that meant I was probably the 8th person in line. So about an hour of standing in line waiting, I see a guy walking down the line, and up again. The girls in front of us all go over and start taking pictures and getting autographs. So we went over too and found out that this guy, was JD, one of Jason Raize's dancers. So we got a pic and autograph and talked for a bit, and he had to leave. And the camera crews came around, and so did the press, I am on the commercial for the show! Finally at 6:30 they opened the doors and let us in. Being in the front of the line really was a blessing because we scored an out of this world spot in the studio! We landed front dead center on the stage! We were actually leaning and putting our purses- on the stage! Then when we thought our luck couldn't get ANY better- it did! We got to meet Jo Jo from KIIS FM! He gave me a hug and an autograph and some nice chatting time! He really is a nice guy! Then at maybe 7:00 Jo Jo came onstage and talked to us. They made us scream and go nuts for 10 minutes to get a crowd shot for the show. And then some more talking. He told us the rules and some safety stuff. He talked about the taping process, the usual stuff. Then some more waiting, and then Jason Raize came on! He was soo awesome! And cute too! In between songs and recording, he would talk with the audiance. Somewhere in the middle of his performance, he started talking about how he played Simba on Disney's the Lion King and then I shouted, "Take me to Broadway Jason!" and he started laughing. Sadly that part didn't make the final cut, which really sucked. But his show was great. He is such a great performer! And al too soon, his portion of the show was over and they gave us a half an hour intermission. We took like, two minutes to rest our aching legs and sat on the floor. We heard a rumor going around on the front row saying that Jason was outside. So a VERY nice lady held out spots while we snuck outside to where we had seen some trailers earlier. We saw a small group of people and a camera so we decided to walk towards there We were right next to the group, with Jason in the middle, when JD stopped us! We remembered me and addressed me by name. We talked to him for maybe 15 minutes. He introduced us to his family, asked us how we liked the show, and even gave me his personal email addy. Then sadly the guards said everyone had to go back inside, so the crowd dispursed. But not us! We were still talkin to JD. Wow I am so thankful JD stopped us because we had a reason to stay while everyone else had to leave! But JD had to go too, and we started walkin back when we turned and saw Jason coming out of his trailer, so unnoticed, we walked back and met him! He was such a nice guy! Even though his, whatever, body guard was hinting that he had to go, he still took the time to talk to us! And he remembered me too! He said, "Oh yeah hey, Broadway chick! Waz up?!" We talked for 10 minutes, and he gave me the BIGGEST hug I had ever recieved in my LIFE! We got an autograph, but sadly no picture. I am still beating myself over the head for that. So then his little person was like, "Well sorry but Jason has to go now." and we went back inside. As we were walking back we saw a bunch of girls taking pictures with these guys. We figured that they were Take 5 because we knew that they were at the concert. So we stopped and took a picture with Ryan and got an autograph. He was really nice too.

We went back in and some loooooser chick and her boyfriend had stolen our spots! And me, never being the person to be pushed around, made a big deal and got our spots back. Then Jessica came on, and she was great! Her little sister Ashley is so sweet! Some guy was like, "Ashley will you go to the prom with me?!" and she jokingly said yes. Jessica had a lot of microphone problems during the show and they had to keep stopping to fix it, but nobody really minded. Once the concert got rolling again, nothing could stop her! She is an amazing singer AND dancer! She too would stop and talk to us when the camera wasn't rolling. And then Nick Lachey came out! Wow, three week away fron Nick Lachey! I loved it! I shouted, "Kiss her Nick!" and he blushed and smiled. It was so cute! And the way they were dancing so close was just soo adorable!

Soon the concert ended and the crowd dispursed. We found my mom and left. My mom said that she had seen Jessica get into her limo and drive off. They had planted a decoy limo in the parking lot where everyone was at. But we left with the memory of an awesome night!

More pictures coming soon!
