Chapter 8

“Do you have any ice cream?” asked Stacy as she plopped down on the
couch.

“Yeah, what flavor do you want.” asked Nick as he was sticking the tape in
the VCR.

“Oooh, I’m gonna go look, what flavor do you want?” asked Stacy as she
headed to the kitchen.

“Whatever you choose is fine.”

Stacy opened the freezer and saw 6 different tubs of ice cream.  She thought
‘Geez Nick, you must really like ice cream.’  She looked at the flavors,
Chocolate chip cookie dough, Rocky Road, Vanilla, Chocolate, Chocolate
chip, and Mint Chocolate Chip.  She grabbed the tub of Mint Chocolate Chip
and two spoons, and she headed to the living room.

“What did you pick?” asked Nick who was sitting on the couch.

Stacy plopped next to him and handed him a spoon, “Mint Chocolate Chip.”

“Good choice.”

“It’s my favorite.”

Half an hour later the 1/2 full tub of ice cream was gone and they were
watching the movie.  Nick noticed that everytime there was a scary part
Stacy would jump and grab his arm and he was enjoying it. On a really gross
part were some guy got his arm cut off ( Author’s Note: I haven’t seen the
movie so I’m making this up) Stacy grabbed his arm and buried her face in
his chest.  Nick automatically put his arm around her.  “It’s OK, it’s over.”

“Are you sure?” asked Stacy not lifting her head up.

“I promise, scout’s honor.” Nick said as he lifted his right hand.

Stacy lifted her head and looked at the TV, he was right the scene had
changed and there was a whole bunch of talking.  Stacy leaned her head on
his shoulder and Nick’s arm was still around Stacy’s.  They stayed that way
till the end of the movie. When Nick went to ask Stacy what she thought of
the movie, Stacy had fallen asleep.  Nick did not want to wake her up so he
stayed right where he was.  He grabbed a blanket that was on the couch and
covered Stacy and they both fell asleep.

Around 3 in the morning Mouse and AJ walked into the house laughing.

“Wow, I haven’t had that much fun in a long time.” AJ told Mouse as they
walked through the door..

“I know me too, I haven’t danced so much in my life.” Mouse agreed.

As they walk into the living room, AJ notices Nick and Stacy asleep on the
couch.

“Awwww, how sweet, they fell asleep.” AJ says sarcastically.

“Shhh, don’t wake them, they look so cute together.” Mouse said heading
upstairs.

“Well goodnight, I’m pooped.” AJ said as he followed Mouse.

“I meant to ask you before but I forgot, why are you staying with Nick?” 

“Nick asked me if I wanted to so that he wouldn’t feel weird with two girls
and all, plus we have a concert on Friday and rehearsals on Thursday, so I
said why not.”

“Oh, that’s cool, well thanks for a great night, I had fun.” Mouse said as she
stood infront of her bedroom door.  

“Yeah, me too.” AJ agreed.

Mouse and AJ were about a foot apart, she wanted to kiss him so bad, but
she wanted to take slow so she leaned up and gave him a peck on the cheek.
AJ was glad they didn’t kiss cause he wanted to take it slow with Mouse and
really get to know her first. He was still very cautious of who he mingled
with after the harsh break up with his last girlfriend.

“Well, goodnight AJ”

“Goodnight Mouse.”

They parted and headed inside their rooms and fell asleep.
