Chapter 15

Everyone woke up early to be at rehearsal on time. They made a quick stop at McDonald’s before heading to the arena (the Ice Palace in Tampa). When they arrived at the arena everyone was already there, even Kristin and Leighanne including all the dancers. They walked up to the crowd and Nick introduced Stacy and Mouse.

“Nice to meet you, Stacy, Nick has told us so much about you.” Brian said as he greeted Stacy with a friendly kiss on the cheek and a hug.

“Thankyou, nice to meet you too.” Stacy responded.

The rest of the boys gave the same greeting and for a few minutes there were hellos and introductions from everyone.

Nick pulled Fatima aside while Stacy was talking to Leighanne about her wedding plans.

“Hey Fa, I wanted to ask you a favor, see Stacy and Mouse are dancers and I was wondering if you could put them in a few numbers.”

“Well, let me think where I could put them in… sure, I’ll put them in Show me the meaning and Spanish eyes (AN: I’m guessing that in Spanish Eyes the guys dance with girls cause I can’t remember(), I’m sure the girls won’t mind if I take them out of a couple of numbers. And let me guess you wanna dance with her too?”

“Thanks Fa ya know I love ya.” Nick said as he gave her a big bear hug and ran off to tell Stacy.

Nick crept up behind Stacy and put his arms around her waist.

“OMG Nick you scared me!” Stacy said alittle surprised.

“Sorry, babe but guess what Fatima said OK.”

“Really? That’s awesome.”

“And you even get to dance with me.”

“OK everyone, I have a couple of things to tell ya.” Fatima said from the stage while holding a microphone so she could be heard.

“First there is a little change in the lineup of the dancers in a few numbers. Stacy and Mouse will replace Nicole (Nick’s dancing partner which I made up) and Jo (AJ’s dancer which I also made up) during Show Me the Meaning and Spanish eyes. So girls, you need to help them learn the dance, OK?”

“Sure, Ok.” The girls replied in unison.

“Second, there are a few adjustments to a few routines that I want to go over with everyone, so lets get started!”

Stacy and Mouse practiced for hours until they had the dance down pat.

Nick had to admit that Stacy was a good dancer. When she danced, he could not take his eyes off her. He admired that she was a hard worker and would not give up until she succeeded. And when she fell, she got right back up and tried again.

At the end of the day everyone was exhausted and they all headed their own separate ways.
