Chapter 6

“Here in Tampa?” A surprised Nick asked.

“Yep, I’m going to the University of South Florida on a dance scholarship.”

“Dance? I didn’t know you liked dance, I mean I remember when you were younger you
took some classes, but a scholarship, why didn’t you tell me this before?” asked Nick
slightly upset that his friend had not mentioned that she was a dancer.

“Well, It’s the one thing I love to do and well, I’m not really sure why I never told you,
mabey cause it never seemed to come up, that’s all, I’m sorry, please don’t be mad.”  

“I’m not mad, I just was surprised you never told me.”

“After we moved to Coral Springs I had no friends, and then I met Mouse, she dances to,
so she got me into it, I made lots of friends and me and Mouse have been best friends
since.”

“Why did you choose the University of South Florida?” asked Nick.

“They have one of the best dance programs in Florida.”

“What do you want to study?”

“I want to be a math teacher.”

“Really? That’s cool, you were always good at math.  I remember when I was in middle
school you were always helping me on my math homework.”

“Yeah, math was defiantly NOT your subject.” Stacy laughed

“Hey come on, I wasn’t that bad.” Nick defended himself.

“You’re right, I forgot you could add and subtract single digit numbers.”

“What’s all the commotion about?” asked AJ butting in.

“Oh, nothing just reminiscing on old times.” Stacy tried not to laugh.

They drove up to a huge gated house on the water.

“Wow, Nick this is your house?”  “It’s beautiful!”  Stacy was amazed at the huge
two-story house by the ocean.

“Thanks.”  “Well, I’ll show you to your rooms.”

The girls followed Nick into his house, they were both in awe by the size of the house.  It
was very colorful with out looking cheap.  Nick led them upstairs.

“My room is down the hall and you both get the two nicest rooms in the whole house.”

Both the girls were given a separate room.  Stacy’s room was in all white.  There was a
white wood queen sized bed with a white wooden dresser with a white TV and a white
stereo, with white night tables and a white desk with a computer.  There was also a huge
walk in closet.  There was a balcony with French doors and overlooking was the ocean.

“When my family visits, BJ stays in this room, she made it her second room that’s why
there is some clothes in the closet, she told me it was OK if you wanted to borrow some
of her clothes.”

“I love it, it’s beautiful, did you draw these pictures?  Stacy asked as she pointed to some
hand draw pictures on the wall of rainbows and the ocean.  

“Yeah, BJ asked me to paint some pictures, so instead I drew them on the wall.” Nick
answered.

“They are really good, I didn’t know you could draw this good.”  “I guess were’re even
now.”

“Yeah, I guess.”  Nick said with a smirk.

Mouse’s room was right next to Stacy’s, it had a bathroom connecting the two and it was
furnished in dark wood.

“This room is really nice.” Mouse commented.

“This is the room Leslie stays in when they visit.” Nick informed her.

“Hey who wants to go swimming?” asked Nick.

“Sure, I’d love to, what about you guys?” Stacy looked over to Mouse and AJ.

“Sure” they both answered.

“OK, so we’ll meet at the pool in ten minutes, is that enough time for you ladies? asked
Nick.

“Yeah see ya in ten minuets at the pool.” answered Stacy.

Stacy and Mouse were in Stacy’s room.

“I see you and AJ hit it off really well.”

“Yeah, he is soo fine and he is really nice, he asked me to go clubbing with him tonight.” 
Mouse said excitedly.

“That’s cool, you too are perfect for each other.” Stacy was happy for her friend.

“What about you Stace, you and Nick seem to get along, you should have seen the look
on his face when you told him who you were, I could have sworn I saw some drool, it was
classic.”

Stacy blushed, “Nah, I just surprised him, that’s all.”

“I think he likes you.”

“Come on lets get changed, which should I wear?” Stacy asked holding up her purple and
green suits.

“The purple one, Nick will like that one.” answered Mouse.

Stacy just rolled her eyes at Mouse.

“Come on I know you like him too.”  Mouse told Stacy

“Mabey just a little, jeez girl, I can’t hide anything from you.” Stacy had to admit that she
was attracted to Nick, beside his good looks there was something else, he was sweet,
caring, funny, he also had a smile that made her weak in the knees.  Stacy snapped out of
her thoughts.  

“Are you ready to go?” asked Mouse.

**At the same time**

“So you and Mouse seem to get along, huh?” Nick asked AJ.

AJ smiled, “Yeah, she’s awesome, were’re goin’ clubbin’ tonight, you wanna come?”

“I dunno, I’ll ask if Stacy wants to go or mabey we’ll just stay home and watch a movie.” 
Nick really wasn’t the one to go clubbin’ and he figured he rather stay home and get to
know Stacy better.

“Fine suit yourself..., you and Stacy seem to hit it off too, I saw the look on your face
when she told you who she was, you couldn’t keep your eyes off her.”

Nick blushed, he had to admit that she was beautiful, but there was something else, mabey
it was her dimples that formed when she smiled or the way her eyes crinkled on the
outside when she laughed.  “I was just surprised, that’s all.”

“Yeah right, man, anyways lets go get changed.”
