=Songs That Didn't Quite Make It=

Written By:Kat

Now, I know you guys have OTOWN's album, right? Well, I have for you some of the songs that...well...they just didn't cut the cake. And Clive Davis rejected these songs for the debut album. Well, see for yourselves!

"Crying (Trevor's Solo)": While in Germany over the summer, Trevor stayed up all night writing this song. He wrote about everything that made him cry, causing the song's running time to equal 5 hours 45 minutes 32 sec. Trevor was recently quoted as saying it might be on the All Or Nothing single, to be packaged as a 6-CD boxed set for just $99.99!

"Latino Like Me": Erik wrote this song after that much publicized fight between him and Jen. Some sample lyrics include: Olive like my skin/Black like my hair/Bite my bottom lip girl/ And slap my round derrier..." It's original title was "A Spik Like Me", but Lou made Erik change it. And by the time he re-wrote the lyrics, the deadline had passed for the album. Maybe next time, Papi Chulo.

"As Long As Shelli Loves Me": Ashley's song about his on again/off again slut...I mean, girlfriend, Shelli. In this beautifully mastered tear jerker, Ashley confesses all his love for Shelli. One touching lyric is: "You called me stupid/ You told me to go to Japan/Wait til I come to Redding/ So I can slap you with me right hand..." I need a tissue. But due to the extreme violent lyrics, J Records didn't include this on the album b/c it would need Parental Advisory stickers. Meaning 95% of OTOWN's teen market couldn't buy it.

"No Dreads Attached": A wonderful rock n roll oriented song about Jacob coming to terms with his Justin Timberlake resemblance. In the song he mocks *NSYNC and every boyband known to mankind. The chorus then has Jacob chanting something like "Justin Timberlake better step back/Cuz I'm the real one, with no dreads attached..." For obvious reasons, this did not make the album to prevent any lawsuits towards OTOWN.

"C'mon Ride It(The Trevor Train)": Trevor's 2nd attempt at song writing. Again it got dissed. It was a good song, but he tried to pull a P Diddy and sample the song....the ENTIRE song. The only thing he did was add "Trevor" before train. Song was dropped to prevent any lawsuits from the rap group,95 South.

"Dan The Man (The Master Plan)":This song had a really awesome beat and off da hook harmonies. Only set back? Well, the entire song was Dan rhyming everything imaginable with his name..."pan, can, man, fan, ran, plan"etc.........Not enough substance to the song, so it was thrown on the cutting room floor.
