“Brian, man. I can’t get her out of my mind. She haunts me,” Nick sighed.
Brian put his arm reassuringly around Nick’s shoulder. “well why are you so attracted to her?”
“I was feeling like her brother when I was wrestling for the remote and then all of a sudden when I looked into her eyes, BAM! All of a sudden I wasn’t her brother anymore.”
“So it was unexpected?”
“Yeah.”
“Could it be that you were attracted to her the whole time, but you just realized this now?”
“I don’t know. Remember, all those tests she’s suppose to go through? Could this be one of them and I’m just part of it and this won’t last? That’s kind of messed up, isn’t it?”
“It would be. But if its, then I guess you’re going to be with me pretty much until AJ gets back.”
“Why?”
“Because if you really aren’t under control of your own feelings, you would be stalking her.”
“Please, I would not do that.”
“How many times have I caught you standing across the street from that house?”
“Once or twice,” he mumbled.
“You mean 11 or 12 times within the last 2 days.”
“Come on…I haven’t done that.”
“Do you want me to hit you every time I catch you until this whole thing is settled down?”
“No.”
“Then don’t go there.”
“So what’s going to stop me?”
“Video game marathon.”
“Won’t LeighAnne mind?”
“I suppose, but she’s going to understand. You know that’s what she is. How else could she have tolerated my hectic and unbending schedule that you also experience?”
