"Well, you told me to cook for you, and I did," she said with a smile.
"Yeah, but not this kind of crap."
"You never asked me if I could cook that or not."
"Fine, what kind you cook?"
"Get me to the nearest Asian supermarket, and I’ll get you everything I need."
"If I knew you were going to be this much trouble, I would have put you into a hotel."
AJ let her loose in the supermarket a few hours later. He followed her around, always asking her questions about the weird things in the butcher section and the vegetables that he had never seen before. He also noticed that most of the groceries that she bought were the ones that he could have easily cooked himself. When they were at the checkout, he asked, "You really can’t cook can you?"
"I know how to cook enough to keep me alive."
"This a big improvement from this morning. What is this?" he asked as he wolfed down the rest of it.
"Green onions, garlic, sausage, and Ramon noodles," she said as ate.
"What else can you do?"
"Rice and sausage, brownies and omelets."
"Wow, such variety," he said sarcastically.
"What do you expect me to cook? Escargots or something?"
"Yeah, you know I’m in one of the biggest pop groups that the world as ever known."
"I’m so sorry, your royal highness, that I don’t meet your requirements."
AJ, getting into his role, he said, "Damn right you should be sorry."
"Your highness, how can I make it up to you?"
"Kneel before me."
Kay meekly went before him and went down on to her knees. She looked up at him with her almond shaped eyes.
Something clicked in his mind. ‘Why does it seems like this has happened before?’ he thought. "Close your eyes, wench," he said. He watched her close her eyes and her lips parted a little as she breathed. He leaned forward in his chair. Kay was wondering why the hell she was in the situation she was in. It didn’t seem like this was something she would normally do, but she felt as if she had done this a million of times before, perhaps even in another lifetime. With her eyes closed, her senses heightened. She could hear the things going outside of the house, she could smell the flowers, and she could feel something breathing onto her. Then she felt herself being lifted up against something and something else wrapping around her. The next thing she knew, she was sprawled on the ground.
"Hey, guys. I thought I just stopped by to see how you guys were doing," Nick said as he plopped down onto the sofa in the living room. "What you guys eating? It sure smells good."
Kay quickly got off the floor and asked in a shaky voice, "Do you want some too?"
"Sure," he said as he absently flipped through the channels.
While Kay was busy cooking up something for Nick, AJ was sitting on his toilet wondering what the hell had just happened. ‘What the hell came over us? What would have happened if Nick hadn’t come over? For Christ sake’s, I’m 5 years older than her! But it felt so natural. It shouldn’t have felt natural, damn it!’ AJ thought.
