"Dani..please. All you said was I had to come to Cancun with you and the guys, you never said I had to enjoy it." Lisa said sitting on the bed.
. "Lisa..you need to have some fun. That jerk cheated on you with jailbait and you need to party your troubles away." Dani said as someone knocked on the door and Dani's boyfriend Chris, and his friends Joey,JC,Justin and Lance walked in,"Hey fellas."
"What's taking so long?" Chris said,"Are you girls ready to live it up here in paradise?" Chris said,"Dani baby you look so fine in that dress."
"Lisa..that's quite an original number to party in, tank top and sweatpants, and cow slippers." Lance laughed.
"She doesn't want to go." Dani said.
"Why not?" JC asked.
"Come on you have to come with us. It won't be the same without you." Lance said.
"She's not wanting to have fun." Dani
"Please?! Don't stay here!! Please come with us!!" Justin said sticking out his lower lip, and she started smiling.
"Ahh...fine!! I'll go. I can't resist the puppy face." she smiled.
. "Well you go change, and maybe one or two of the guys will stay here and the rest of us will go get our seats at the restaurant." Chris said,"Later all." and he took Dani, Joey, and Justin with him. Lisa hurried into the bathroom and put on a dark blue tube top and long blue flower print skirt with slits to the thighs. She sprayed on her Sweet Temptation perfume and walked out to meet Lance and JC. They hopped in a cab and drove to La Isla Bonita restaurant. As it turns out they had tables out on the deck overlooking the sea. Lisa took her seat by Lance with the rest of the group. He was really starting to feel something being around her. He tried to shake it off because he'd known her for a while and felt it'd be wrong to do this to their friendship. He got lost looking at her glance at the menu
"Hello?!" said a voice and Lance snapped back to attention.
"What?" Lance said
"What are you going to order?" JC asked
"Uh..I think I'll get the spanish chicken." he said focusing on the menu again.
"Space out much guy?" Lisa laughed,"Maybe you should lay off the tequila it might make you weirder."
"Hey at least you're laughing again." he smiled,"Good to see that smile again after that break--" and he stopped.
"Yeah..that was a sucky time. I'm ready to order Chris." Lisa said trying to avoid remembering that bad time. The gang ordered their food and margaritas. Everyone was having merry conversation around the table. As the time went on, during the dinner a photographer came up to the table for complimentary photos. Chris and Dani stood in front of the sunset. He took pictures of the other guys with their drinks. Lisa didn't want to at first.
"Come on Lisa. I'll stand with you." Lance said pulling her to the ledge.
"Uh..ok." she sighed and wrapped her arms around him and leaned her head on his shoulder and smiled.
"Good." Lance smiled and he could smell her fragrance in her hair and started to lose his senses.
"Uno, dos, tres, Cheese!" the photographer said and took the picture.
"I hope your face didn't break the camera." Lisa joked. "Hey now!" he laughed. After dinner, the gang headed to Senor Frog's for some dancing and partying. Once inside the club everyone let the magic of the music hit them. Lance spent the evening contemplating whether or not to act on his feeling for Lisa. He looked over a ways and saw her dancing with Dani, JC, and Chris. He wanted so badly to run up there and kiss her and tell her everything he was thinking. But he was interrupted when the whole group returned to the table. "What you doing sitting all by yourself over here man?" Lisa smiled,"There's tons of chicas in this club who would show you a good time."
"Maybe later for them." Lance said as Lisa sat beside him.

"I don't think I should talk about it now." Lance said.
"Talk about what?" Dani asked,"We're all good at listening."
"I can't." Lance said.
Its about a girl!! I can tell." Justin said,"Some girl in the club?"
"I guess." he said.
Tell me who she is and maybe Dani and I can fix something up for you." Lisa smiled.
"I can't say." he said,"It's someone we all know."
"Well who?" Dani prodded.
. "Someone we know..." Chris mused,"What..is it Lisa?" and he got a silent glare from Lance,"Holy crap. I'm right."
"What?" said Lisa obviously missing what was said.
. "Lance thinks you're sweet." Joey said.
"Well..and that's bad because?" Lisa said.
. "How 'bout we all drop the subject." Lance said getting annoyed that his personal situation was becoming dinner table conversation.
"Ok, fine." Lisa said feeling hurt. A while later, when Lisa was out dancing, Lance needed to talk. Sitting with him Dani and Chris were ready to listen.
. "What could I say or do to get her to know how I feel about her?" Lance said,"I don't want to ruin a friendship, but I don't want to deny what I'm feeling for her."
"Just tell her." Chris said,"It'd be worth a shot."
." "Chris..I think he's worried that she's been so hurt from the past that she won't want to give him a chance. Lance, sweetie, just tell her what you are feeling. It's not fair to you or her to keep it quiet." Dani said.
"Go for it man. I have faith in you." Chris said smiling as Lance got up from the table and walked onto the floor looking for Lisa, whom he found dancing with.
. "Can I cut in for a bit?" he asked.
"By all means." Joey said,"Besides, I see a hot senorita by the bar. Later guys!"
"What a nut he is." Lisa laughed,"So shall we bailamos?"
"Sure. Maybe we could talk." he said as they danced.
"What about?" she asked.
"Well..I'm just gonna say it." he said,"Lisa..I'm feeling something deep for you. I can't explain why, but I am. I keep getting lost when I look at you or being around you."
"What?" she said stopping,"What are you saying?"
"I'm saying that I'm feeling so much for you that it won't let me rest until I tell you. Lisa please, I don't want to ruin anything we have, but I want you to know that I think I'm in lo..." he started but she interrupted him.
"Lance..please don't." she said and walked away from him leaving him standing alone on the floor. The rest of the evening she stayed away from the group. She wanted to try and take in what was going on. One of her friends saying how much he's feeling for her. What was that all about? It wasn't that she hated him or she wasn't trying to be mean, but it was just something all of a sudden with no warning. Meanwhile, Lance was sitting with the guys trying to wonder if he made the right choice considering that she ran away. They tried their best to tell him not to worry and that fate would work things out. As the night ended, the gang headed back to the hotel. Lisa took her own cab back. She went to her room. Just as she sat down, there was a knock.
"Hey Lisa." Dani said
Hi girl." Lisa said,"Come on in."
." "I can't stay too long. I told Chris I'd be a few minutes. So I hear things got a little weird for you tonight?" Dani said.
Yeah." she said,"I mean..I'm not trying to be mean..its just that..I don't know about this."
"Lisa..he's not going to be like that jerk before. He's been there for you for quite a while. He even stood back and stayed quiet when you started dating that jerk. He wanted you to be happy. That's all he's ever wanted for you. You can't go wrong with Lance." Dani told her.
"What do I do?" Lisa said.
. "I can't tell you what to do. But all I'll say is your decision is in the room across the hall from yours." Dani said before she left. Lisa looked around and decided now or never. She walked out of her room and across the hall. She knocked confidently on the door before he answered. He stood there looking at her wearing his boxer shorts and a wifebeater. He opened the door a little bit more signaling her to come inside. Once inside she looked around nervously and saw the picture from earlier that night at the restaurant.
"The picture turned out nice." she said trying to break the ice.
"Yeah. The Mexican sunset is quite lovely." Lance said.
"Look..I'm trying to figure out what to say about tonight." she said,"And I can't seem to think of anything that could remedy this instantly."
." "I don't want a remedy. I wanted you to know what I was feeling. I wish you could understand how much I want you in my life." he said.
"I'm not saying no. In fact I would like that so much.."she started.
"Wait..you think its ok?" he said.
"I do, but its just that I'm scared. The last guy who promised me this...just turned out to be.." she said.
"Shhh." he said walking up to her and he used his fingers to lift her chin up to look in his eyes,"I will not do anything like that. I would die before I act like that. I want you to be happy forever." and he kissed her and then pulled back and looked at her.
"Lance..." she said and looked at him with her hazel eyes, and he started to turn away but she pulled him in for another deep kiss. They stood there for a few minutes lost in the hold of their kisses. The song "Could I Have This Kiss Forever" came on the radio. Lance ran his hands down Lisa's body and pulled her tube top off. He scooped her up in his arms and gently placed her on the bed. He lay on top of her placing kisses all over her body. She tore away at his shirt leaving him in his boxers. His hands found the top of her skirt and gently slid it off her body, to expose her blue lace panties. At the same time she felt his boxers straining against her thigh. She rubbed her hand over the bulge in his boxers and she could see him twist his face in pleasure and wanting. She helped him remove her panties, and obliged in assisting him in removing his boxers. In the 4 years that they'd known each other, they never thought anything like this would be possible, to be making love. A few hours later, when they were curled up in his bed, relaxing, he looked at her realizing how everything was going to be fine.
"I'm so glad you are here." he said wrapping his arms around her waist and kissed her bare shoulder.
"I can't believe it took me this long to realize what I had right in front of me." she smiled,"I am so glad that it happened now."
." "I want you to know that there will be nothing that can keep me from you. I've waited a long time for you, and I'm glad that you let me.." he said.
"Lance, I will always keep you with me in my heart and mind. I will be with you. No matter what." she said.
"Lisa..could I have this kiss?" he asked and she kissed him,"Forever." and they curled up and went to sleep.
