Chapter 13-

“don’t speak so soon Nick. I have to make sure Eliese doesn’t kill me, or you for that matter” I laughed getting off his lap and sitting next to him.

“hey why’d you move?” he asked with a sad look.

“shhhh” I said crawling away. I looked back at him. “Nick Eliese is looking out that window over there at us. I don’t want her to be mad so can I slap you?”

“huh?” he laughed “no”

“but Nick…if she knows that theres something going on between us then she’ll hate me forever. But if I slap you she’ll have no suspicions what-so-ever. So can I?”

“I don’t get it, there is something going on between us why cant she know?”

“because your still going out with her poopie brain!” I said

“hey don’t call me a poopie brain” he said pouting.

“yeah well fuck you too Nick!” I yelled standing up.

“what?” he asked looking up at me.

“don’t ever say that to me again”

“ohh I see what your doing…” he smirked

“get out of my life” I brought my hand back and slapped him hard across the face.

I was a little surprised that my fake slap had turned out as hard as it did. I hope I didn’t hurt him.

Nick sat there holding his cheek with a shocked look on his face, looking up at me.

“oh jesus, im sorry Nick”

“its ok, now run away and pretend you don’t really care” he said with a smile.

“ok” I turned around and and ran away pretending to be mad. I ran on the bus where AJ and Amanda now were.

“oh hi you two” I smiled

“hi” they both replied at the same time.

“Amanda if Eliese comes in here, tell her I hate Nick ok?”

“yeah sure” she said looking at me a little strangely.

“thanks” I said running back out and into the venue. I walked past where Eliese and Nick were not looking at him, I could feel him looking at me though, and I knew Eliese was too busy attending to his red marked cheek to pay any attention to me.

I went into the room Brian Leighanne Kevin and Kristin were in and started to laugh.

“whats so funny?” Brian asked

“nothing, really” I said “im bored cant we do anything fun?”

“why don’t you go do something with Nick?”

“ahhh hes getting nursed back to health by Eliese in the hallway” I said shrugging.

“why what happened?” Leighanne asked

“nothing” I looked around silently playing the ABC game in my head to amuse myself.

I wasn’t even to F when the door flew open and Eliese stood there.

“hey you, wheres Nick? did he chew through his leash?” I asked which made everyone laugh, everyone but her.

“your such a bitch” she yelled walking over to me.

“me? Why me?” I asked playing dumb.

“because you slapped Nick” she said

“oh really, is that what I did?”

“shut up that’s not funny”

“you really need to take a chill pill”

“me? You’re the one who slapped him and yelled at him because he turned you down for a date”

she pulled her fist back and punched me right in the mouth causing everyone else in the room to gasp.

“what? That’s not what happened at all” I yelled feeling blood trickling from my lip.

“ok then, what happened?” she asked crossing her arms.

Kevin handed me a tissue and I held it on my lip.

“Nick asked me out. I told him that I would never do that to you and to leave me alone, so I slapped him”

“well now I don’t know who to belive” she said turning around and walking out.

I just laughed “shes such a bitch when it comes to Nick”

“what really happened?” Kristin asked

“you guys wouldn’t care” I laughed “see you later on”

“see ya” they said as I walked out.

~on the bus~

“Amanda…when do you wanna get married?” AJ asked as they laid in the back of the bus on the couch.

“oh I don’t know” she said quietly running her fingers up and down his arm.

“I don’t mean we have to pick a date. I just wanna know if you wanna do it soon or wait a little bit”

“can I think about it?”

“sure take your time” he said kissing her forehead.

I walked onto the bus and went in search of some ice to put on my lip.

“hey what happened to you?” I heard Nick laugh walking over to me. “walk into a door?”

“yeah a big one named Eliese”

his face dropped. “Eliese did that to you?”

I nodded.

“im sorry…I didn’t think…”

“Nick its ok, I don’t think either”

he smiled and laughed slightly. “you know what I meant”

“so were even now, I slapped you and Eliese punched me”

“ok” he was about to shake my hand but pulled it back. “wait…you slapped me, but Eliese punched you…so I didn’t really get my revenge now did I?”

“Nick look at me im bleeding. You don’t even have a mark anymore”

“nope, im gonna get my revenge” he said, I took off running to the back of the bus and dove into my bunk.

Nick flung open the curtin and sat down.

“wait wait wait” I said “time out”

“what?” he asked smiling.

“since if you so much as lay a finger on me I’ll be forced to call the police will you settle for something, oh I don’t know…less severe?”

“hmmm what might you have in mind?” he asked

“come closer” I whispered

he climbed in the bunk with me, I reached over and closed the curtians. Nick took the tissue I held in my hand and gently wiped my lip.

“she must have a nice hook” he said with a smile.

“hey I wasn’t expecting it, otherwise I would have moved” I said

“so lets say your expecting me to do something right now…would you move?”

“I don’t know why don’t you find out?”

“ok” he leaned down and softly pressed his lips against mine, and it slowly started to become more passionate.

I pushed him away from me and sat up.

“what?” he asked

“my lip, you were hurting it”

“oh was I?” he said with a fake tone of apology. “im sorry let me kiss it and make it better” he started to lean in but I pushed him away.

“sorry because of your girlfriend my lips are un-kissable for about another 4 days or so”

“fine” he said pushing me against the back wall. “I wont kiss your lips”

Amanda looked up and saw AJ was asleep again. she sighed looking down at the dimond on her finger, twirling it around and around.

She loved AJ more than anything. and she wanted to marry him, she just didn’t think it would be so soon.

During the last year they had become inseperable, Amanda had moved into his house last month and just two weeks ago he had asked her to marry him. of course she said yes, but now she was having her second thoughts.

She was 17, and already engaged. To someone 6 years older than her too, no one in her family knew yet and she was afraid to tell them, thinking they wouldn’t approve.

Amanda wanted to make AJ happy and marry him, but she couldn’t. not yet. She was too young. She decided that was her final answer (*hahaha Amanda, is that your final answer? You just one a million god damn bucks*)

She slowly slipped out from underneath his arms and grabbed a piece of paper. She wrote him a letter explaining what was going on. She signed it, folded it and wrote his name on the front. She went to his bunk and set it on the pillow and then packed her bags.

As soon as her flight was booked and bags were packed and she knew for sure Brianna and Nick wouldn’t be coming out for a while, she made one last trip into the entertainment room.

AJ was laying there, sleeping peacfully like a baby. She wanted to wake him, and explain it to him so he she wasn’t leaving him like this, but she knew he would never understand.

She knelt by his side and kissed his forehead softly.

“I love you AJ”

he stirred a little bit and mumbled “I love you too Amanda”

tears slid down her cheeks as she took the ring off her finger and gently slipped it onto his pinky, the only one of his fingers small enough to wear it. She stayed in that posistion for a minute before getting up to leave, not wanting anyone to see her while she left.

She walked to the door and was about to turn back and look at him once more, deciding against it knowing it would only make it harder to leave she just walked out shutting the door behind her.
