*6 months later*

“lookin back on the things I’ve done, I was trying to be someone…”

“hey!”

“what?”

“stop singing that, im trying to study”

“oops sorry, I got a little carried away there”

I rolled my eyes and went back to my books.

“so what are you up to tonight?” Nick asked sitting up on the couch with me and looking over my shoulder at what I was reading.

“um, just going out for dinner with AJ Amanda and Howie” I said

“what?” he asked with a fake tone of shock “they didn’t invite me?”

I laughed “sorry Nick but its just cause we have to talk about the wedding and stuff”

“its ok I’ll just stay here and you know…do nothing”

“if you really wanna come im sure they wont care”

“no I don’t, I was only joking. Me and Eliese are going somewhere anyways”

“uhh don’t talk about her around me” I said

“aww Brianna come on why cant you two just get along like you used to?”

I looked over at him and sighed “im sure if it were that easy we would still be friends. and I don’t see why your still with her. I mean you said it yourself she bugs the shit out of you”

“yeah I know” he said softly “but its like this, when we’re together we get along great most of the time. Its just we don’t have enough in common to get along all the time like AJ and Amanda do. When im with her, and its just me and her all I think about is spending the rest of my life with her, like shes the one. But then when im not with her all I can think about is how much she bugs me and how I want to break up with her. Whenever I come close to ending it she just looks at me and im a gonner”

I gave him a sympothetic look. “awww poor Nick”

“hey im having a moment here. Let me have it please” he laughed

“well Nick, im sorry but if your asking me for advice you asked the wrong person because I for one can not stand that gold digging bitch!”

he laughed again “I cannot belive you just said that…”

“I cannot belive you let me get away with it”

“me either. I must really like you” he said with a smirk.

“no don’t even start”

“naw I was only kidding. You know I love you but it just wouldn’t work out with us”

“like I don’t know” I said with a laugh.

“well im glad we’re still friends. even if I am with Eliese”

I shook my head. “hey I got to go. Call me later if you want, I should be back by 11”

“yeah I will cause your still coming with me to the mall tomorrow right?”

“yep. But I don’t get out of class till 12. whatever though call me”

“alright I will. Bye have fun tonight”

“I’ll try” I laughed “bye Nick”

I walked to the door and was about to open it but before I got a chance it was already opening.

“oh hey Eliese” I said sarcasticly.

“get out of my house” she snapped

“don’t you just wish you could afford this house” I laughed

“atleast I have one”

“and what I don’t? I must say im doing pretty good for myself. Im putting myself through college working two jobs, I don’t have to live off my boyfriend, and on top of all that I have time to stand here and insult you. I would say im doing just fine”

“like I would care”

“right, I don’t think the word caring is in your vocabulary.”

“what are you here for anyways?” she asked ignoring my comment.

“if you must know, im just here hanging out. What else would I be doing?”

“why don’t you tell me” she put her bags down on the floor.

“I have some more studying to do. If you want I’ll get back to you on that” I turned around and walked out.

~AJs house~

“AJ!” Amanda yelled up the stairs. “are you out of the shower yet?” (*cause hes all stanky. Hehe I watched MTV cribs like 8 times*)

“yeah why?”

“cause we have to go in 10 minutes”

“I’ll be down in a second” he yelled back.

“alright” she walked into the kitchen and leaned against the counter while putting on her shoes. A second later AJ walked in wearing a black sports coat over a black shirt with black pants.

“do I look ok?” he asked spinning around to model his clothes.

“sure, a little heavy on the black but I like it”

he smiled “I knew you would”

“if your ready lets go, our reservations are for 8 and its already quarter of”

“ok lets hit the road” he grabbed his keys and her hand before walking out the door.

~Nicks~

“Nick…” Eliese said walking into the livingroom where he was playing video games infront of the tv.

“what” he asked not taking his eyes from the screen.

“can I talk to you?”

“sure what is it?” he said in the same posistion.

“can you tear yourself away from that game for a sec?”

he sighed and turned it off. “I was winning you know”

“I don’t care” she sat on the couch and he sat across from her in the recliner.

“whats up?”

“why was she here today?”

“who? Brianna?”

“yeah here what other blonde did you have here today?”

“hey don’t get snappy…she was just here. No reason”

“so she just showed up?”

“no I asked her to come over”

“oh god Nick I thought this was over!”

“Eliese stop. Your over reacting. I havent seen her in 6 months and already your on my Case”

“why shouldn’t I be. The last time we broke up was because you fucked her”

“well its not going to happen again so you don’t have to worry”

“im going to worry until you stop seeing that bitch”

“well Eliese, lets just put it this way. Shes my friend, she will always be my friend and if you don’t like it you can take a hike. Nothing like what happened before is going to happen again. you just have to trust me and if you cant then get the hell out” he said pointing to the door.

“gee Nick don’t get all defensive. You’d think something did actually happen today” she got up and walked back into the kitchen.

“don’t walk away now, you started this whole thing.” He stood up and followed her into the kitchen.

“I don’t want to talk to you anymore. Your being an asshole”

“me? Im not the one who assumed that something happened between me and her today”

“I never said that”

“well then what the fuck are you saying? I cant figure you out at all”

“im saying that I love you Nick and I don’t want her getting between us again”

“well I love you too Eliese but I cant take this right now, im leaving” he said walking out.

~at dinner~

“so me and Amanda will go pick up the dresses on Friday night, AJ, you and Howie can pick up the tuxes right?” I asked

“yep we can”

“are you sure AJ? Cause if you cant we can have someone else do it. Its really important that those tuxedos are in your hands Friday night” I said speaking directly to him.

“im sure I can do it” he said slowly, looking back at me.

I looked over at Howie sitting to the right of me. “please please don’t let him forget”

He laughed “I wont. I promise we’ll have them”

“thanks” I said rolling my eyes.

Amanda was on the other side of the table laughing.

“what are you laughing at?” I asked “if they don’t have the tuxedos you’ll be the one marrying a fool in boxer shorts”

“hey I’m all for that” she said wiggling her eyebrows at AJ.

“oh sick” I said closing my eyes. “nightmares nightmares nightmares”

“oh shut up. Your just saying that because you havent been with a guy since…oh I don’t know when was the last time you got…”

“we are not having this conversation now” I said shaking my head. “besides I don’t even want to think about it”

they laughed “aww Brianna don’t worry im sure someone will take you home” AJ said laughing.

“yeah what about you Howie? You busy tonight?” Amanda asked smirking.

“Amanda stop” I laughed

“sorry Bree, you know I think your cool and everything but…” Howie laughed

“no no its ok im not offended. Now if you guys are through embarrassing me I have to head home.”

“hey we were going to get ice cream after” AJ said with sad eyes.

“sorry, I have an exam tomorrow. But I’ll catch up with you guys sometime this weekend” I said getting up and putting on my coat.

“bye Brianna, thanks for coming” Amanda smiled standing up and giving me a hug.

“bye Amanda, bye AJ, bye Howie” I laughed walking out.

A half hour later I was back on campus, at FSU. (*I think FSU is like in Tallahasse FL. But lets pretend its in the Orlando/Tampa area for the sake of my story*) I unlocked my dorm room door and went inside where my roomate and best friend Lauren was laying on her bed.

“hey Laur” I smiled

“hi Bree” she said

“whats going on around here, anything exciting?”

“not really. But Nicks here” she said getting up. I looked over at my bed and saw him sitting there smilling.

“oh Nick I didn’t even see you there” I laughed “what are you doing here, I thought you and Eliese were doing something”

“we were going to but we sorta had this little fight and I left” he said with a innocent look.

“Nick Nick Nick I don’t know why you don’t listen to me. Shes not doing you any good, so get rid of her.”

He rolled his eyes “I don’t want another lecture ok? I just came here to see what was up”

“well lets see, I just got back from dinner. Where they were all laughing at me and making fun of me”

“why were they doing that?” he asked as I sat down on the edge of my bed and started to take off my shoes.

“oh you don’t wanna know”

he looked at me strangely. “alright then I probably don’t”

“hey Bree, im going to Jakes room I’ll be back later. Christy said she’ll be back by 10 if you care” Lauren said coming out of the bathroom.

“alright Laur, bye”

“bye” she said giving a slight wave and then walking out the door.

“you know, Bree shes kinda cute” Nick said smiling.

“your pathetic” I said taking my book out of the closet. “I have to study”

“you studdied all day”

“I know but I just transferred here last week so I missed a whole semester and now theres this exam that im going to fail unless I know everything in the first half of this book”

“oh yeah that makes sense” he said “come here I’ll help you study”

I went over and sat next to him.

“so tell me, Nick. what were you and Eliese fighting about?”

“you know the usual, just stuff”

“oh so was she really that pissed I was there today?”

“sorta” he laughed “but I mean she over reacts about it, I told her that if she cant take us being friends she can take a hike”

“that’s nice of you Nick, to sacrafice your bitchy girlfriend for our friendship. I think I appreciate that”

“your welcome” he smiled

“now shut up so I can read”

~AJs~

“ahhh home sweet home” AJ sighed walking through the door.

“we were only gone for three hours” Amanda laughed

“I know, but the way im never home, I want to spend every minute I can here. Especially because you’re here Amanda, I like you. you make it fun”

“well im glad your that fond of me” she said with a smile walking into his outscretched arms. He wrapped them around her waist and kissed her nose.

“do you wanna go for a swim in the pool?” he asked

“sure” she grabbed his hand and pulled him out the doors to where the pool was. Without even taking off any of their clothes Amanda pushed him in and jumped in after him.

“Amanda, do you have any idea how much I didn’t not want to get in here with my clothes on” AJ said after coming up for air.

“im sorry AJ, I just thought it would be fun” she smiled spashing a little water at him.

he just smiled in reply and kissed her.

Nick opened his eyes and looked around, squinting until his eyes ajusted to the light. He looked down and saw Brianna sleeping with her head laying on his chest and her book on his lap. He glanced over at the clock and saw that it was already 11am.

“Brianna” he said gently shaking her. “wake up”

“huh…” I lifted my head and looked up at him. “Nick what…”

“we fell asleep last night, its 11 o’clock”

“it is?” I asked looking at the clock. “fuck fuck fuck”

“whats wrong?”

“my class started at 8. I forgot to set the alarm”

“oh…” he said “what are you going to do?”

I shruged “well I don’t think I was going to pass anyways”

“I should probably call home” he said picking up the phone and dialing his number.

“hello?”

“Eliese? Its me”

“Nick! where have you been, I’ve been worried sick about you”

“im sorry I didn’t call. I went to Brians last night and we watched a movie. I ended up falling asleep on the couch”

“oh well im glad you called I was about to send a search party” she laughed “when will you be home?”

“a little later probably, Bree and I are goin to the mall”

“your going with Brianna?”

“yeah, um do you wanna come with us?”

“sure” she said smirking to herself. “will you pick me up in about an hour?”

“yep”

“ok bye Nick”

“bye” he said hanging up.

“shes not coming is she?” I asked

he gave me a little smirk. “yeah sorta”

“you’re an asshole Nick you know I cant stand her”

“Brianna I didn’t want her to start getting pissed again so I figured that I’d invite her so she can see that we don’t do anything”

“well maybe she’d like to know where you really were last night” I said smiling.

“you wouldn’t do that to me” he laughed “I know you too well”

“I’d like to do that to you”

“I know you would”

“ok im going in the shower don’t break anything while im gone”

~Nicks house~

Eliese hung up the phone and looked down at the caller ID. 234-4323. (*im making these up…*)

‘that’s not Brians number’ she thought to herself grabbing the address book. She checked by Brians name to make sure she wasn’t seeing things and then looked down at Brianna’s name. Sure enough, just as she had thought, there was her number.

“he was with her all night. I knew it. Hes such a fucking liar” she said throwing the address book across the room.
