Get on the Line!

Liv, Lux, Buddy and Joe’s Premiere Party (10.26.01)

Mmmkay, this movie was SUPPOSED to open on October 19, two days after me and Chris’ birthday. I was totally psyched about it, seeing as I had that entire weekend off, and hadn’t hung out with Lux in two months. The two of us were supposed to celebrate my birthday AND the movie, but NOOOOO, they pushed it back a week. Jerks.

But the 26th finally came around, and Lucky and Carla arrived at my house all sexified. The original plan was to get all dressed up, like red carpet dressed up, but it was really cold that day, so we went casual…sexified all the same.

Lux came bearing gifts, and I was all giddy. She had two boxes and this really crunked-out looking envelope with random *NSYNC quotes and pictures written all over it. lol They made me read the card first (which was hilarious…thanks chicas), then told me to open the big box. I busted out laughing when I saw it was a Fisher-Price toy horse! NEIGH BABY! And what’s more, when you tilt the horse’s head forward, it whinnies and paws the ground and stuff. How do you like them apples? LOL

Okay, so with the gag gift out of the way, I opened the smaller box and found a pair of *NSYNC earrings. My initial reaction was, “They have those?” Way to go Lux for finding a piece of merchandise that I haven’t already seen, or don’t already own. =) Since this was an *NSYNC occasion, I wore the earrings that night. As I was opening my presents, Lucky and Carla were dressing Lil Joe in his tuxedo. Afterall, it was his big night!

When Joe was fully clothed and the gift giving out of the way, we went to the theatre. The movie was a trip - we all loved it (an actual movie critique will come later.) The three of us were singing “That Girl (Will Never Be Mine)” and “Falling” when it came on. And it was really fun to see Lance singing and break-dancing, and Joey singing and kicking the amp. But it was PRICELESS watching Chris and Justin playing gay stylists…my pancreas still hurts from laughing so hard. LMAO

After the show, we went to TGIFriday’s for dinner. Yay! The thing I love most about Friday’s is that when you order a mixed drink, they serve it to you in these JUMBO glasses. =D Our waitress was pretty cool and snapped some pictures for us, but only because she felt guilty about accidentally mistaking Josh and Joe for Backstreet Boys. =P

When we go out to eat, we never EVER finish our food. So we take our take-out containers and popped into Target so Carla could get her “On the Line” soundtrack. We got back to my house, but the gals couldn’t stay long because of the SAT’s. So I bid them adieu, then Buddy and I got started thinking about this journal entry. As I sit here looking at Bobbie the (w)horse, I gotta say this was probably one of my favorite birthdays. =)

Wait, there’s more! You didn’t think I’d let you go without pictures, did you?
