I was really pressed for time when I got to her house. She was cool with it, but I felt kinda bad because I’d already seen the movie and she hadn’t. I didn’t want her to miss it, especially if we’d be shelling out eight dollars for a ticket. Good thing she doesn’t live that far from the theatre, and we only missed the first two minutes, but we wouldn’t be able to meet up with Carla and crew until after.

We may (or may not) have a full movie critique later, but I do wanna point out five things: 1) The book was better; 2) Lucky and I even cry in sync; 3) Shane West is a sexy bitch; 4) I don’t care what y’all think about pop tarts going into movies, Mandy Moore did a great job, and 5) She looks better as a brunette.

Carla and crew found us after the movie let out, and we all went to Buddy’s Pizza for dinner. We kid you not, Detroit has a pizza chain called Buddy’s Pizza. What a sight we must’ve been. Five girls, two of which were carrying around dolls and a bunch of presents. I was seriously toting around a huge shopping bag because I had both Lux’s Christmas and birthday gifts.

After we were seated and put in our orders, I looked into the shopping bag and realized I’d forgotten one of Lux’s Christmas presents. Ah well, gives us something to do next time around. lol The two of us went back and forth opening gifts.

Lucky loves Hello Kitty, so I’d gotten her this cute Christmas tin filled with Reesee’s peanut butter cups and a Snorlax beanie to put in her car.

Then I took a turn at one of my Christmas presents. I wanna give Lux props once again for finding something I did not yet own. She got me Josh and Chris wall stickers. =) Notice my short hair? It was even shorter than that when I had it cut. Yeah, it was a drastic change for me. I was traumatized for a couple weeks. “Oh my God, what have I done?” I’m still asking myself that.

Lux read her birthday card and opened the bigger box first. Notice her CAREFULLY opening the *NSYNC paper because she wanted to save it. LOL It was a VW Bug in platinum, of course, a special gift for her and Joe to share!

I tore open my second Christmas gift and was totally laughing when I realized it was Darrin’s Dance Grooves. =D Anyway, Lucky opened her second birthday gift, a trial-size set of Victoria’s Secret lotion.

When you talk about *NSYNC, it’s inevitable that BritNAY comes up. “Crossroads” would be released in two weeks, and we decided to make it our next outing. And as tradition goes, we got our carry out boxes and the *NJEF meeting was adjourned. LOL
