Summary
The same day that ex-Minister Hampton Wilder is released from prison, he meets with MI5 and warns them about his contraversial memoirs. Among other things, the memoirs accuse his successor, government minister Richard Maynard, of corruption and illegal arms sales. However, Richard Maynard was the whistle-blower who exposed Wilder to MI6 and sent Wilder to prison.
While the team tries to find out the truth about the memoirs, Harry and Tom have to deal with Jools Sivitar again (Episode Four). At the same time, every member of the team has to deal with their own personal issues as well.

The Good
Really effective use of the split-screens in this episode, especially in the climactic ending with three of the Spooks simultaneously tying off loose ends.
Tom is less than impressed to discover that Ellie’s ex-husband has turned up and Ellie walks out. The ex-husband then gets suspicious about Tom.
Zoe (after stealing Danny’s vodka) tells Danny about Tessa’s corruption. She admits that she respected Tessa and is frightened to tell Harry. The two share a tender moment but are rudely interrupted.
Meanwhile, Tessa turns out to be having an affair with the accused minister and desperately fights to clear his name, despite believing that he is corrupt.

The Bad
This plot was complicated and political. I rented it on video and watched it several times before I worked it all through. At first, I kept getting the characters of Wilder and Maynard confused.
