HUNGER RESEARCH ESSAY
The Hunger Research Essay is intended for students to
learn about why people are hungry, who is hungry, identify choices,
understand consequences, make connections to values, take responsibility,
make a commitment, and follow through.
RESEARCH AND WRITING
INSTRUCTIONS:
1.
Students can copy & paste the template for the Hunger Essay Notes into a new GOOGLE DOC. Be sure to use CTRL-V TO PASTE the notes template into GOOGLE DOCS. SAVE your notes Doc with YOUR NAME, TRAVEL GROUP number, and HUNGER NOTES.
2. You
will use Hunger Essay Links (below) to find information for
your notes. When you finish your notes share them with Mr. Brown for credit.
3. Begin
writing your essay. Follow the ESSAY FORMAT instructions below.

Hunger Research Essay
Your
topic sentence should include the words ÒhungerÓ and ÒdecisionÓ to describe
an overview of the problem. Include the definition of hunger, and write
about what can happen when people do not get enough food. Also explain what
the reasons are for why people are hungry, and give examples for who is
hungry.
What
choices do people who are hungry have? What are the best outcomes for
people who are hungry? Also explain what the choices are for people who are
not hungry. Why is it important for people who are not hungry to help?
Whose responsibility do you think it is to help solve the problem of
hunger? Explain why you think it makes sense for others to do something
about ending hunger.
Write
about what you think is needed to solve the problem. What leadership talents have
other people displayed when fighting world hunger? Why is it important to
you to do something about hunger? Why does it make sense to get involved?
What can you do to help, and how will you take action to fight hunger?
