Horses

Before I had the dogs I loaned horses, the first horse I had on loan was Candy. I have been riding since the age of 7 and spent all the time in a riding school, at the age of 13 I felt I needed more. So I got Candy. She was a 14.2h 7 year old cream and white mare. She was a great ride to start on, virtually bombproof but not boring. And what a jump! She jumped everything at least 2 ft higher than it was, needless to say we left the jumps at 2 ft, as she jumped them 4ft! She took me to my first showjumping show where we had a couple of clear rounds. I had her for about 7 months when unfortunatley the owner couldn't afford to keep her anymore.
Sorry about the quality of the photo! Then along came Tiptoe, a bit of a difference! 15.3h appaloosa stallion. He was a real gent and we had great fun. he had a lot of BSJA winnings, but I didn't jump him much as there weren't the facilities. He was a powerful beast and you could tell just by looking at him, the muscles, phew! I had him on loan for another 7 months when my next one came along.
Teddy I couldn't resist loaning. He was a challenge, 3 year old 14.1h Welsh Section D gelding. His owners wanted me to bring him on. He was a real sweetie, he would follow me everywhere, I hardly needed a headcollar on him. He really was my favourite. I taught him to jump, and took him to his first show where he nearly went clear (came across a jump he didn't like the look of lol). We spent so much time together as he was only kept down the road. I had him for nearly a year when the owners had to sell him on. He started my love affair with welsh section Ds.
