The Indian Walking Stick
Habitat:
The substrate doesn't matter because these bugs live up in the trees but newspaper substrate is probably the cheapest choice but you can use potting soil or even peat moss. You should have lots of twigs and plants for them to climb on. Also have a screen lid so that the tank is well ventilated.
Heat:
These insects require temperatures of about 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. If temperature go into the low 60's then you should have a 60 watt bulb over the tank.
Feeding:
These insects eat lettuce and a variety of other leafy foods.
Breeding:
Breeding is an easy task with these bugs. Usually after they breed they die. There eggs can't be seen by the human eye so don't sit there looking for them.
