The White's Treefrog
Description:
These frogs grow big an average of about 9-11 cm when adults and is one of the worlds largest tree frogs. These frogs tend to get big and fat this makes them get nicknames like dumpy tree frog and smiling tree frog. They have smooth green skin which has a rubbery texture helps them retain water during dry periods.
Habitat:
These frogs do good in well planted terrariums as do all tree frogs. Provide a water dish that is about 6 inches long and about 4-5 inchs deep. These frogs like to spread out relax and flout on top of the water. The tank size depends on the size of the frog if it is small put it in a 10 gallon but if it is an adult keep it in a 20 gallon or higher. Temperatures should be kept at 80-86 degrees during the day and at night from 70-75 degrees. Mist the tank with de-chlorinated water twice a day. The substrate should be moss or pine bark. Caution don't buy that expensive repti-bark because it is way to dusty and the pieces are to small. Then causing them to choke if the mistakenly miss the cricket and get a piece of bark.
Diet:
The Whites tree frog will eat crickets, grasshoppers, cockroaches, pinkie mice, worms, moths and beetles. They will eat anything smaller them so dont house any lizards or frogs with him. remember to dust the insects you feed with multivitamin powder once a week.
