Preventing Excess Insulin

Eat a low glycemic diet!

Some of the foods we eat are  converted to glucose (a type of sugar).  The foods that raise the blood sugar levels abruptly are referred to as high glycemic foods.  Obviously, those foods that have little or no effect on blood sugar are called low glycemic foods. The Living Medicine Food Plan stresses eating foods with a low glycemic index.  These are slowly converted to sugar in the blood and therefore do not over stimulate the action of insulin.
