About me; I (Mark) am from a town called Levittown located in south eastern Pennsylvania. I moved to Maine in hopes of finding a little slower pace and to do what I enjoy which is spending time in the outdoors, guiding and crafts. I was a construction company owner and always loved doing wood working projects especially custom things. Although I worked as a full time contractor I still was able the devote about three months a year to being in the woods. I now reside here in the woods of Maine. My shop is still under construction and I doubt it will ever really be finished. I am always welcoming visitors to my shop so feel free to stop by. I’m always looking for an excuse for another cup of coffee or a “dew”, of course I may be out in the woods just taking in what beautiful Maine has to offer.
What I offer; After being in the construction field for thirty years and owning a construction company for over 18 I believe I am well versed in the building trade. I have done both residential and commercial work, everything from small installations to 4,000 square feet houses. Carpentry, masonry, electric and plumbing is the bulk of the things I’ve done in my profession. I am also very proficient with AutoCAD 2002 drawing architectural blue prints and detail part drawings. When I had the opportunity to get into the custom part of wood working, I dove at the chance. I always built cabinets for jobs but when I purchased the machines to shape the raised panel doors, the drawers and the cabinet boxes, my cabinet building went to a totally custom level. Custom cabinets were and continue to be my specialty. Needless to say with all these wood working tools, crafts would come in to play. With living in the woods there’s always wood around. With the band saw I have I continue to resaw logs in to planks for craft projects. With the scroll saw I can turn a piece of Maine wood in to a treasure from a simple cut out to intricate fret work.
