[Updates on my life... not that interesting.but whatever.]
2*22*05 Pics!
I took some time and sort of added and organized the pictures on my page.
Whatever happened to the June Spirit?
1*22*05 So..
:::Look for more pics soon. A ton has happened since last year. Mainly great concerts... Dez & I own film of THT singing a song about curtains for me(yeah, i saw them 3 times in 3 weeks..), we made more presents for Saves & Christopher mentioned our "lovely quilt" on the saves the day website, we saw frickin BRIGHT EYES for jesus' holy sake...WOW!!!!--i know it's better than the birth of my first child is going to be. Conor live is amazing. I wish eveyone on this whole earth could experience such an experience.
But other than that stuff that sticks out in my mind, life has been pretty tame.
Oh yeah, I finally graduated from high school and still have no idea of what I would like to do FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE... how ridiculous--we go to school, go to school, WORK FOREVER to LIVE, have ONE WEEK of vacation per year, and eventually DIE. It's just so weird that we do this...
-This is why Dez & I are buying exhibit A, mounting a plastic horse to the top of it, buying me cowboy boots, and are following bands for the rest of our lives... or until we are older than all the bands we like. So maybe this is not true, but I don't want to go to school, and I don't really like working... sooooo I don't know what I am going to do.
EXHIBIT A:::::::::::::
3*22*04 LISTEN UP KIDS
::: Well, finally spring break has come. I have started off my official week by sleeping until 1:10. Feels extrememly nice. Other than that, I have not been up to much at all.
::: I don't know if anyone remembers last night when ERIK lost in "speed" and was a big baby about it because he actually "won".
::: I don't know if anyone remembers last night when ERIK suddenly MADE UP a rule in the middle of a hand-pool CHAMPIONSHIP GAME and claimed that since I "scratched" on the 8 ball -- I lost. I didn't know the same rules of pool applied to the intense game of hand-pool.
::: That Erik's a little cheat... watch out for him.

---My first update of the new year. New Years came and it was quite fun, a lot better than in years previous.
---I am the proud Godmother of Jada Monique LaFave as of 12-27-03!
---Erik is a nice boy. We went sledding.
I made him a blanket.. he appreciated it.
---The weather is so crappy lately.. snow snow snow..
lucky I have these kick ass boots!
---Senior year is wrapping up.. thank god. I'm excited.
---Dez, Erik, & I just attended the Get Up Kids show (all the way in Chicago..) & I'm sad to inform you that it was greatly disapointing. The Get Up Kids totally paved my way for the music I listen to now & it's like it's their JOB now to play. And talk about a new album plug if I've ever seen one... Atleast 7 new songs, I swear. The crowd was boring and rude also. Oh, & NOT TO MENTION THAT DEZ FORGOT THE TICKETS AND REMEMBERED 2 HOURS AWAY FROM HOME!!
Erik: Ohh, I like that sign!
Dez: (20 seconds later) SHIT!!!! --smacks forhead violently-- SHIT... ! I forgot that god damn tickets! UGGGHHHH!!!
But we love you Dez... & who's gonna remember that anyway.. no big deal.. haha* Oh Dez.

For a while my life was pretty hectic.
:::Get 6 hours of sleep, :::Wake up at 6:09, :::get ready for school (7:45-2:59, all day everyday- which involved gym=activity), :::attend tennis practice(3:30-5.. unless there was an match, & we were mostly an away team this year.), :::& then either go home & sleep, :::or babysit until the butt crack of dawn(but money is money & I'm not complaining).
Now that things have toned down a notch, I've had quite some time to do absolutely nothing & boy, is it nice... except-
My rooms have been absolutely disasterous for weeks now. My reason before was that I never had anytime to clean it, which I didn't. Now, I guess I've grown used to it & have memorized the random piles of junk arranged on the floor, & can manouver around them in record time. Disgusting, I know.
So, this Saturday afternoon I was sitting on the couch, not showered & still Jammified, & nothing was on T.V. I did not know what to do with myself. I realized my rooms were gross, & I could've probably picked up my crap around the house, but of course those involved too much effort.
Looking around, I saw the lonely computer & I thought of updating my webpage- with new pictures & all. They were already scanned, I just had to upload them. But no, for some reason a thought crossed my mind that that would involve
way too much effort & I would rather sit & watch a T.V. program I hated. - So I did.
I thought to myself, "Have I gotten SO lazy that it is too much effort to SIT at a computer & click a mouse & press buttons." & sadly I realized that sometimes the answer is yes.
Not thrilled with, but somewhat accepting the truth- I decided to start a new project.. instead of choosing from the 8 tasks I could've already been working on.
So, I went to town & brought fabric so I can make a quilt type blanket for my bed, & also got a start on my Christmas project presents.
I didn't feel like that qualified as being not lazy, so, me- obviously an over-achiever, I decided to hop on this here computer & not only upload the pictures (Fun to look at), but also write this entry which no one will read!!! & sadly enough, I slept until noon, it is now 12:10 & I am tired.
If only I was in 9th grade again so Good Charlotte could "Motivate Me...."

You know, I've never really been a huge ska fan, & personally, I think ska is for losers.
Turns out, it's a Friday night & ALL of my friends are going to a SKA show.. & I didn't want to sit home by myself...So.. I went with Dez to this
"Skanksgiving" concert which was held in Marquette. Bands playing were: some guy who played longer than he should've, Something To Do, the Indecisives, & headling-
Distorted Penguins.
After Something To Do played, we all agreed that we were hungry so we were leaving to get some food. The show was held in a room that was up 2 flights of stairs, this meant 2 hand rails. I attemped to slide down the rails but scared myself before I could even slide 4 feet. Then I hear this guy in front of us say,
"Just try it, & if you fall, I'll catch you". I decided to wait until I got closer to the floor so if I did fall, it wasn't that far down. Eventually I slid down, but stopped myself b/c I was going too fast.
When we arrived outside, this guy & his 3 friends all got out their cigs & proceeded to light. I was wearing my Saves The Day shirt & the guy who offered to catch me asked if I like Saves The Day. Obviously, I was like "Yeahhh!" Then he was all like
"Yeah, we just saw them in D.C. w/Taking Back Sunday about 2 nights ago, they're good...blah... .blah." Dez & I said that we seen them in Milwaukee at the Rave. Then the guy was like
"The Rave? Hey we played with Something To Do there before.. blah.. . blah."
[Now, you can probably guess what's coming...]
So me, GENIUS me (
not getting the D.C. hint, not piecing together playing w/Something To Do..) asks,
"Oh, what band are you in?" And yes my friends, they sadly replied, "uh, Distorted Penguins." WOW- I felt like a dude.
But now even better- not having a clue as to what I should say, I quickly responded,
"Ohh, well I'm not much of a ska fan, I just came because all my friends came & I didn't want to sit home like a loser by myself." Way to make the situation even better, you know? I should mention that Dez was extremely proud to be my friend right then, & I could tell! (not liek she knew either.. but the village idiot just had to speak.)
Anywho, they saw that Dez had a camera & were like, "take a picture of us!" And you know Dez, she can't deny guys in a band.. & taking pictures, so she was about to take the picture when that guy was like
"you get in here too!" My mind was boggled. Why would he want
ME in the picture after I just totally insulted them to their face?? So, I was like
"no..." & then he told Dez to get in too & had someone take our picture.
So now we have a reminder of how much of a jackass I can be & how equally retarded Dez can be too.

Dez & I have had some grand times in Marquette I tell you. (new picture section coming soon!) Other than that, not much is new here in the Gladstone area, besides that we should wake up 4 minutes earlier so we don't have to sprint through the halls in the morning.
