1998

d2.gif (1722 bytes)omagoj Jurcic started his career on the circuit of Rijeka where within the Championship of Croatia he took part of the Formula Opel Lotus Cup driving the Formula of the Golden Racing Team owned by Zlatan Micic and had his debut on the 28th of July 1998 which was the 3rd race of the season and he finished second. He won the next 2 races, that way by attending 3 out of 5 races he reached the 3rd position in the Formula Opel Lotus Cup. In the next 3 races held in October Domagoj won 2 and in one he retired from the lead because of an engine failiure. Even though he drove only 6 out of 8 races plus he retired from one of those 6 Domagoj Jurcic managed to achieve the same number of points as the later declared champion in the Cup but because he had less second places than his rival he ended up in second place. Domagoj drove the fastest lap in the Croatian championship of the season 1998 which was 1:31:348 (av. 163,55 km/h)
