Angel comes back and helps her out of the grave and naturally surmises that another vampire has risen from the grave, but tracks and a shoe on the ground lead Buffy to a different conclusion: "Whoever was buried here didn't rise from this grave...she was dragged from it'.

The next day, Buffy and Xander find Giles asking a stack a books out for a date..actually he was practicing to ask Ms. Calendar out, but Buffy interrupts his moment between him and the books and tells him about the empty grave last night. Giles suggest to her that she should seek Willow's help in finding out about the girl who was taken from her grave. Giles detects that its grave robbing or some zombie activities. Buffy finds Willow at the Science Fair sign-up, where she is chatting with nice, quiet Chris Epps and his creepy yearbook photographer friend Eric who is busy snapping up some pictures of Cordelia and Willow for his 'private collection'. Eric also takes some pictures of Buffy.

Willow looks up on the computer and finds that the victims was killed in a car accident last week with two of her friends. Giles suggests that it could be a voodo priest creating a zombie army if there's more than one body missing, so Buffy suggests to go and check out the other two graves. That night, while Giles and Xander dig, Buffy complains to Willow of Angel's jealous behavior. Willow comforts Buffy stating that 'Love makes you do the wacky,' and also tells her about Eric being all solem and quite since Daryl's fatal fall to his death. She tells Buffy that Cordelia used to date Chris' brother. Daryl was a football star who had everything going for him till he was killed while rock climbing last year. The two also get to reconcile that Willow wasn't happy what Buffy did in the Bronze dancing Xander..and neither was Angel.

After cheerleading pratice, Cordelia walks up to her car and finds that someone is following her. After knowing Buffy's being a slayer and vampires really exsisting she runs and hides in the garbage dump (Well isn't that a first ...hehe). Angel comes to the dumpster and finds her there. On seeing him she feels much better knowing he is around but freaks out when she sees she is not alone in the dumpster. There are a bunch of body parts in the dumpster.

The graves were empty, lending that Giles is right about the 'army of zombies but upon returning to the library Angel and Cordelia tell Buffy, Xander, Willow and Giles about the body parts in the dumpster. Buffy and Giles summize that maybe that is where the three girls are..but Angel cuts is 'What I saw didn't add up to three whole girls.'.

They finally add up that whoever is digging up the bodies and is very good at dismembering extrapolating their parts must be a student at Sunnydale High, and when Buffy checks the lockers of Willow's Science Club friends - they get to very clear suspects, Eric and Chris. A photo in Eric's locker provides the motive their looking for: they're making a girl.

The next day Giles fails asking Ms.Calendar out but Ms.Calendar doesn't take notice of it and instead invites him to go with her to the night's big football game with her. While back at Chris's basement, Chris and Eric don't have a head and Eric decides they'll have to kill someone to get it. They get encourage to do so by a shadowy figure behind white cloth...it's Daryl..and he is remade...err reborn. Chris backs out right away that he doesn't wanna kill a girl or anybody, but time is running out and the body can't be good for long and Daryl persuades Chris that he doesn't wanna be alone for eternity, he wants to have someone. Chris lets in, while Eric takes out pictures of their three candidates: Willow, Buffy, and Cordelia. Daryl picks Cordelia andthey make plans to get her.

Buffy goes and pays a visit to Chris's house where she meets Chris's mother who is obsessedwatching Daryl's taped football game to the the point she doesn't know where she is and who is with her watching.Buffy explores the house and goes down to the basement where she finds that Cordelia is the next victim. Daryl finds her snooping and attacks her but she gets away through the window. She rushes to the school where she saves Cordelia from Eric in the nick of time, and talking to Chris she finds out about Daryl.

We find that Giles and Ms.Calendar are ready set armed to their teeth with popcorn and drinks to watch a game of football.Daryl goes to the football game as well and grabs Cordelia himself during break when she goes and gets a sip to drink. She's taken to an abandoned science lab, where Daryl promises to be a better boyfriend to her. When Buffy goes back to the game she finds that Cordelia is missing again. The whole group leave the game and with Chris's help, they track Eric and Daryl to an old lab. Buffy tries to save Cordelia and fights with Daryl which ends u setting the lab on fire. Xander rushes in and gets Cordelia out of the burning building, and Chris stops Daryl from killing Buffy. Daryl goes and rushes to his incomplete bride and stays in the burning building to die with her.

Angel finds Buffy from following the fire. Ms.Calendar agrees to a second date with Giles while Angel lets in his insecurity about Xander being there in the day time with her while he cant. On their strole/patrol at the cemetary they pass by Daryl grave.
