Suspicion falls on to Amy, a girl who wants to be a cheerleader badly. It seems that Amy's mother was a very popular cheerleader and her mother wants her to be a cheerleader. So badly that she starts casting spells in the attic against one by one girl in the squad. Buffy and Giles suspect that Amy is the witch and goes to confront the mother about Amy's secret side when there is barely few minutes left for her to survive. What makes it soo interesting is that when they go to see Amy's mother - it was actually Amy that was home. Seems like Amy's mother switched their bodies and used Amy's body to go and reminise her high school days.
Buffy, Giles and Amy (in her mother's body) go to the school and get ready to transfer the souls into their rightful bodies and Buffy her strength. Buffy then gets up and fights with Amy's mother and just then Amy's mother casts a spell to put in a dark place, Buffy ducts and the spell bounces off the mirror and strike on Amy's mother - locking her where she wants....inside her prized trophy at Sunnydale as 'Catherine the Great' where she will be a cheeleader ...forever.
