Works of Art

Some of you may be surprised that I don't just write bitter rants or alleged newspaper articles. But yes, I've dabbled in poetry since I was about 18 years old or so.

So to prove this, here's some of the poems that have actually held up or improved since those freshman days in Creative Writing class.

My stories and poems

The Last Night - How do you say goodbye to love? This is what I did.
The Janitor - One of my first poems, re-written in February of 2000, with some help from a friend.
To Be Read On My Wedding Day - This is pretty self-explanatory.
My First Friend's Wedding - What do you do when you go home ... and everything's changed?
Another Day - Another one of the originals, re-tooled at a Wichita coffee shop in April of 2000.
The Ballad of St. Louis - This was the first of the 'new batch' of poems, written in February of 2000.
