We’re really excited about your latest American tour. The new stage show is absolutely awesome!
Brian : Thanks. It’s great to be performing new material on a new stage. We are using lots of special effects this time around. We’re happy that our fans like it.
You’re five guys who have been friends now for five years. You’ve lived together and traveled together. Tell us the truth, what bugs you the most about each other?
Aj : We know what buttons to push on each other. We are like brothers. We do take care of each other.
Having been on the road so much, what are some of the comforts you miss the most?
Howie : I miss not driving. I hate being in a bus or a cab. I’ve got a Mazda 626, it was a present from my parents when I graduated from high school. I love to cruise around in it. I also miss my friends and family the most. I wish I could take them all with me.
When did you boys first realize you had musical talent?
Kevin : Well, Brian and I are both from musical families. We used to sing in church choirs and perform locally. When our families would get together, we’d sing doo-wop songs, and harmonize Barber Shop Quartst tunes.
Howie : Aj, nick and I would see each other at auditions at home in Orlando. We were all solo performers experienced in musical theater, commercials, television and film…so I guess we knew we were talented separately a long time ago. We started to hook up when we were waiting our turn at auditions, we’d harmonize on Temptations hits, or whatever we heard on the radio. Lots of R&B songs. After a while, our a cappella singing took on a life of its own. Then we met Kevin and Brian and they fit right in.
On a personal note, what kind of girls do you each like?
Nick : I don’t think much about looks. It doesn’t matter to me. What matters to me is what is on the inside. That’s what really counts with me.
Brian : For me it’s the girl’s eyes. That’s what attracts me the most. Pretty eyes are always good to look at.
Howie : I like a girl who is a good personality on the inside and well as the outside. I like a girl to be very positive, have a great personality and know how to communicate well.
Kevin : I like a girl to have a nice smile, nick hair, and very nice eyes. She has to be intelligent and have a good sense of humor to be with me.
Aj : The girl for me has to be understanding, modest, mature, respectful and faithfull. I also like a girl to be loving, caring, honest and have a great sense of humor.
One last question before you take off. Has becoming big stars always been a dream for you?
Nick : We all have dreams to fulfill in life and this is our dream. We all wanted to make this happen and we did. There’s not turning back for us.
Howie : We enjoy every moment or our success. There is so much more we want to do. We have just begun.
