Mr. Freeze, formarly known as Dr. Victor Fries was just an average man with a job and a beatiful wife at his side. Everything changed when his wife fell ill with McGregor Syndrome. There was no cure for this disease so Victor Fries spent his life dedicated to find the cure for McGregor Syndrome. When his wife went from the first stage to the second, he put her in a tube filled with liquid to keep her alive and frozen till he finds the cure. By now he had already gotten the cure for the first stage, but it was meaning less.

As usual with most of Batman's villans, Bruce Wayne was co-invetanely involved. Bruce Wayne cut funding to Dr. Victor Fries project, which led him to work in harsh conditions with poor safety. When someone head of his department found out, he pulled the plug on Mrs. Fries and when reaching to go and save her, he fell in a glass container with liquid nitrogen that changed him forever. Now with the fluid running in his vain, he can't breath nor stay in a room above 0 C . He vowed revenge to those that were part of changing him from Dr. Victor Fries, a man with a wonderful future and happily married to Mr.Freeze - a man who was cold as stone and a wife still alive but society recognized her dead.
