AMAZING!!! robert smith!!!
Robert James Smith was born in Lancashire, England on April 21, 1959...what a great day that was! Especially for Rita and Alex Smith (parents)!!! Robert is one of four children! Richard the oldest of the four was brought to the world on July 12, 1946, sisters Margaret February 2, 1950, and Janet August 30, 1960. A thing about Janet... in 1990 she married ex-cure member Porl Thompson (guitar). After the family had relocated to Blackpool...once again they were on the move to Horley Surrey in Dec. '62. At that time Robert attened St. Francis Primary School...4 years later the family moved to Crawley Sussex in March '66! Now Robert attended St. Francis Junior School! Then Middle School at Notre Dame '70- '72...finally to end all this schooling Robert attends St. Wilfrids Comprehensive School '72- '77...a-ha in '73 at age 14 Robert meets Mary Poole his life time love, in drama class. Little did those two 'LoveCats' know that on August 13, 1988 they would become Mr. & Mrs. Robert- Mary Smith. Robert and some friends started a band...yadda yadda yadda which is how 'The Cure' was formed...formally called 'Easy Cure' in 1977!!! check out the official Cure biography on the cure's official web page!
