Aggression

After a lengthy period Gotcha (the author of classics such as Grandpa's Sunday Drive, Adrenalin Rush and Gut Rumbler) has released his 12th track. Amongst the barrage of Stunt tracks recently released comes this purely race circuit where the aim is not only to beat the competition (both computer and human with this track featuring cool multiplayer play) but the clock as well. The layout is cool with some nice altitude work and alot of speed. Some very low tunnels and some banked turns also add a little spice and the crazy 8 environment looks effective and maintains fairly fast multiplayer fun. If there was one downside it is that the computer trucks get a little caught in rookie mode. All in all this is an enjoyable, short (1min laps) circuit for the racing purists well worth a look. This track also pushes Gotcha past the 100pt mark, I mark only reached previously by Zipperhead and BigoBlunt.

Arctica

This is Zipperheads 26th cirucit and for, if I remember correctly, the first time we hit th slopes for some multiplayer action in the snow. Unfortunately, however, this is not one of his better tracks. The layout is poor and his regular work with altitude, textures and props is noticably missing. The bad background choice and textures combinations do not create the desired environment. On the other-side of the coin however there are some nice jumps and good computer competitiveness and a layout very much suited for multiplayer fun. All in all though there are more enjoyable tracks out there and I can't see this being a destined hard-drive occupier, one of the few flaws on Zipperheads record.

An Eighty Eight

This is rooski's second circuit and like his first its a classic MTM experience featuring some brilliant gameplay. The general layout is to figure eights which are kinda of within each other and going opposite direction. A very original and cool layout. The prop use is fantastic, with a cool revolving "88" sign, an excellent arched tunnel, nice checkpoints and what appears to be mushrooms (possibly flowers) scattered around. The texture and altitude use are also very well done and the tracks has a well polished off feel. the track also features some nice bridge sections, waterfall jump and custom music. With two-way action, criss-crosses and a fast racing feel this track is very enjoyable in both multiplayer and singleplayer modes with great computer competition. If you haven't got this track already....or his other one for that matter....granb it. A ne experience. The track has no obvious faults and I'm tempted to go the rare 10 outa 10. What do you think?

Boss's Surf City Interchange

This is the fourth track by Bosshogrox and they just keep getting better and better. This time we are, you guessed it, by the surf in travelling along and through a complex series of multilayer tunnels, freeways, bridges and jumps. With a wonderful use of Altitude he has created a man-made MTM paradise. The texture use was very good as weas the prop use and he has opted for the same flamboyant environment style he used in the awesome Boss's Rattlesnake. There are custom textures and props including a very cool horizontally spinning sign at the start, a escalator-like jump ramp, a nice little target thing which (although it slows down the gameplay was a cool little addition), very nice picture 8-) and the song loser by beck to bop to. The gameplay itself is great with a nice balance of challange and enjoyment. The tunnels were great especially the big jump onto the grassy nole and a parking garage section was cool. It really is an exceptional rally. If there were any downpoints they would be the slowing down of the fram rate with lesser computers, the fact that if you get stuck on the bottom layer the helicopter drops you on the top layer and a tiny toon village detour that acts more as an annoying distraction than a cute addition. Overall this is one heck of a good track which is worth the download and probably worth a 10 outa 10.

Crazy In Iraq

This is the first track by the author Sudam Hussain and its a anti-social Iraq message aimed at the defeat of the Iraqian Army. With pictures of Suddam Hussain all over the place and tanks to dodge, as well as custom music including two-way radio sounds from desert storm and a desert environment the Iraq atmosphere is pulle off okay. Unfortunatly the track seems very unfinished with no actual track, no computer support and no MAP!! It took me a few laps before I realised it ws the Crazy 8 circuit with changed altitude and texturing. Not one of the best tracks out there probably not worth the download unless your a Army fanatic.

Death Valley

This is the second track by Mr. Bones and it is a jump fest. This is an average lengthed rally where to the beat of MC Hammer and Salt'n'Pepa you fly of huge jumps, travel along diagonal roads and race fairly competitive computer trucks. And to tell you the truth I enjoyed it. It was king of like a cross between yeastmans earlier motocross's and Kjartan Jullisson's James Bond series and despite its low challange level (for both player and maker) it was worth more than a few goes. The prop, texture and altitude use were good and the track did have some, but not much, multiplayer potential. If your in the mood for a good old fashioned jump fest check it out.

Devil's Peak

This is Zipperheads 23rd effort and continues his great line of circuits. This one takes the original 'A crazy eight" layout and gives it a whole new feel with heaps of good altitude use and a whole new environment. If it wasn't for the map you would be hard pressed to spot the resemblance. As usual he has provided some cool texture and prop use and some very enjoyable multiplayer mayhem. One immediate down point however was the fact he didn't change the background, it would've been a great touch. Zipperhead always manages to show us something new so if you like his style this is one of his good tracks and worth a look.

Dirty Deeds

This is the first track by FigJam and for those of you who have been here since the start it slightly resembles the Sanatarium tracks. The layout consists of an oval split on one side by a box-shaped detour. The circuit looks very fresh and alive with a well set out and cool array of props plus some nice texture work. The track itself is not very wide and this constictiveness adds to the excitement due to the difficulty in passing the very competitive computer cars. One big jumps situates itself in the middle of one of the straits and adds some nice chaos to the race. Aimed at the multiplayer arena it is good for many laps of fun with your friends and can even be good fun in singleplayer mode. If your up for some short, chaotic multiplyer racing this is one of the best out there.

Double Trouble

This is the 3rd track by FIGJAM and it is an interesting racing circuit which incorporated a new idea which could prove to be very cool in Multiplayer mayhem. From the 1st checkpoint to the 3rd there are 2 routes of roughly equal length which wind around an alright layout together. This can be good in multiplayer mode as you race hard against friends within sight but on different routes. The prop and texture useage was okay but the altitude use was pretty average with only the one jump and little gradient change along the racing line. Another little annoying bug was the tendency for the computer cars to do a circle around the first checkpoint. Despite a few failing this is a pretty enjoyable multiplayer racing circuit and fans of such a genre should consider the download.

Dust Devils

This is the second track by ShortUglyGuy and like his first circuit Mount Maddison its very good. This time we are in the desert and facing a very cool layout on this 2 and a half minute racing track. The altitude work is suburb and combined with the layout you will aim to beat the clock as much as the competition. Speaking of competition multiplayer is well suited to this circuits with crossovers and a wide track. There are also some healthy jumps and speed sections with jumps into and over rock "holes" being highlights. The prop use was fantastic and he used the texture contrast of the water to good effect. The track also features one of teh best pictures out there. If there is one down point to the cicuit it was the poor computer competitiveness which hampers sigle player considerably even though the race against the clock option is enjoyable. ShortUglyGuy looks like an editor to watch for and if your after some good racing with some nice jumps then this track is for you.

FigJam Island

This is the second track by FIGJAM and it takes a kind of Zipperhead approach to track making, with a multiplayer, prop and texture rich circuit with an uncomplicated layout made enjoyable by the altitude use. The combination of the stars and the water works magnificently and the lush inner island environment addds to the cool atmosphere. The layout itself is an irregular 8 shape with some cool jumps, a half-banked turn (not really fully completed) a split tunnel and a very cool jump into a narrow, decsending tunnel. There is also a good shortcut, good as in it cuts-off some track but is a challange to master, and hence a gamble to take. Where this track falls down is on the road coarseness. The road is unnessasarily bumby in places and I believe a strait out smooth racing road would of worked just as good if not better than the off-road style FIGJAM adopted. Overall not a bad circuit for the multiplayer enthusiasts, those Zipperhead fans and anyone seeking some cool MTM atmosphere.

MJFan's Islands

MJFAN has produced some great tracks as of late and this his 6th installments could continue his run due to its cool idea. The layour is fast and fun moving between four islands which are connected by some cool, unique islands. With the addition of some other custom props and textures it does indeed look cool, however some boats or dinos in the ocean and some filling up of some of the sparce areas would've been great. There are some nice jumps and altitude work, with some cool cross-overs and cliff-racing. The computer trucks are very competitive too and this allows the track to be enjoyable in singleplayer mode as well as the multiplayer mode which suits very well. While possibly not MJFAN's best track its still by no means bad and anybody keen for some fast fun near the ocean should check it out.

Monsta Boat Madness

This is the Fifth Track by Monsta Driva (Full throttle, Altitude) and it is an absoloute Gem. Forget Monster Trucks, now its Monsta Boats and the effect is fantastic. Set in a man-made aquaduct system you drive one of five included boats (and yes they look very cool and their handling is suprisingly realistic) over jumps, through tunnels, inbetween pilon's, through a swamp, past waterfalls (which appear to move) and through a rotating "water pusher" much like the generaters you see in Duke and Dark Forces. The attention to detail is great with the patchy land distribution in the swamp, the ropes attached to a tanker getting hauled up the canal by trains, the waterfalls, the fact that the land acts like deep water and the water like your usual road.....even the attention to the boats is fantastic. The layout itself is varily enjoyable with some good jumps, some alternate routes through the swamp and some challlanging pilon dodging. Custom music in the form of Genesis and a good zoom finish off a great product nicely. If there was one annoying problem it was the computer boats problems getting between the Pilons but considering the massive multiplayer playability of this track its imporatance is lowered. This is the second Monster Boat attemp, the first by Frenchie called Water world was a shocker. The layout was boring as all hell and it lacked any form of atmosphere. This circuit on the hand is the direct opposite and I believe its worth a 10 on the originality basic and overal production of this classic. Ready for something different. Get This!

Mount Maddison

This is the first circuit by ShortUglyGuy and it is a fantastic rally in some cold, rocky mountains. The layout is highly enjoyable being both challanging and combined very well with some exceptional altitude use. It looks superb and really sets a unique atmosphere for MTM racing with geat texture and prop use. The scattered boulders add some great charm as do the little villages and the lakes, especially with the waterfalls and water crossings. Some well placed rocks and mounds keep you on your toes as do the computer competition which are decent. Otehr highlights included the jump into the tunnel, the beneath-ground passage and the big jump at the end. It also features a cool zoom. For a first effot this is a fantastic track and one of the best rallies going around. While not that well suited to multiplayer mayhm, singleplayer is a blast and if your into rallies or after some good challange in a beautiful environment deffinately check this out.

Muddier Pies

This is the Third track by Tmad Zap and it is a fantastic stunt circuit under a starry night sky in the land known as Mud Pies. Following an exceptional layout you race through great tunnels, over massive jumps, around cool banked turns and alot more all in around 3-4 minute laps. The tracks looks great with very good prop and texture use as well as some cool custom textures and very good altitude use. Highlights include driving on top of a grandstand, flying down a diagonal ramp into a canyon and banked turn in a cool room. Not bad multiplayer potential as well however slower computers could experience some lag. A great Stunt track which also features some great racing. If you ever enjoyed jumps or atmosphere, or wish to experience a very enjoyable layout, I deffinately recommend Muddier Pies.

Mystic Land

This is the first track by Xorc and it is an incredibly unique experience. The rally is aimed at the serious offroader and it takes place in a seemingly unexplored land, although a town does fly past at the tracks only flat section. The track has a very cool, very unique atmosphere created by the use of textures. From the start you head from qa lush jungle down through an eerie cave opening through a tunnel and down to a underground river. The track also features banked turns, diagonal sections, a bendy rope bridge, i trip through an underground volcano! and some cool jumps. The computer cars are extremely competitive as well and its almost as hard to come first as it is to conquer this Mystic Land. The track does have a few faults though. The landscape changes are done poorly with a simple "one second your in the jungle, next in the snow" feeling. Also, even though the track is aimed at the offroader/stunt fans it is a little too rough in parts. Deffinately a track worth checking out for the atmosphere nad some cool, original ideas.

Obsession

This is the first track by scorpion and it is a short, fun multiplayer track that ranks high on the competitive fun scoreboard. The prop and texture use is good and it reminded me of the Zipperhead Tonka series without the complexity of props. The layout was good allowing for a clear sence of where all your oppents were at any stage in the race. There were no real jumps but they were unnessasary, I loved the little marker-poles boundering the course they helped add some atmosphere although grandstands around the track would've been nice. This track is a good download for anyone frequenting the zone and after some quick exciting racing.

Ragged

This is the 27th and last track by Zipperhead. After 9 months of almost constant track making he has decided, unfortunately, to hang up his boots. So whats his last track like? Not bad! Sittuated in a type of forrest-snow environment the circuit's layout takes the shape of a Question Mark and holds some good jumps as well as a nice texture-prop combination which hints at a weird atmosphere. The racing is allright with a jump onto a bridge and between trees being highlights. Unlike his previous tracks its not that well suited to multiplayer and there are some prop weight mistakes concerning small rocks and barriers. Zipperheads had a great career and I hope he decided to do a few more, play this one so you can say to your grand kids that you played every Zipperhead track 8-)

Right of Way

This is the first track by RedMenace and it is very good. The layout is great with some very challanging sections combined with some cool racing. One of the immediate stand-outs is the "3D" effect given by roads on-top of roads as well as tunnels and jumps under roads. There are plenty of tunnels and they are all very well done. The jumps are great and the whole texture and prop work is top-notch except for some sketchy cornering. There are many cross-overs to keep the multiplayers grinning including an underground triple-bye pass. This all happens of course to a very "Beverly Hills Cop-type" soundtrack that will firmly sit in your mind for the rest of the day. With its unique use of underground passages and very "3D" nature this is an incredibly enjoyable track in both multiplayer and single player modes. Well worth the download!!!

RIP IT UP

Welcome to Behihm's 5th track and this time around he has an epic rally on the cards for us. As usual Behihm has an extremely complex layout that with the use of bridges, tunnels and altitude work has turned out really well. Of cource there are some awesome banked turns to sky-rocket around and some healthy jumps as well as an awesome start that has you fly down a big dipper, bordered by chequered flags, and jumps onto the track between two trees. The tunnel rooves are unique and give a great effect and all this racing is to the beat of Street Racer. But the two coolest aspects of the track is the fact that you can constantly see other bits of the track, and hence other racers, around you...and the second, you get to drive through a waterfall!!!! While it looks crude and is a little outer place the sheer originality of it is awe inspiring and it adds a great shift of character to the track. There are a few downsides though, the track was designed for multiplayer racing and hence the computer competition is very poor...this limits single player a bit but the challange of the track would probably keep you pre-occupied anyway. Also, the pace and "tightness" of the track may turn a few people away. While not the best Behihm track outhere it is still very very good and if you liked any of his previous effots then don't wait another second and download away.

Rookski's Ridge Road

Rooski's Ridge Road is a thoroughly enjoyable rally that excels at altitude use, custom music (Metallica), computer competition and "back to the basic's" enjoyment. Following a sparce yet somehow atmospheric road you travel along a perilous ridge riddled with strategically based jumps, cool banked turns, neat water crossings a great tunnel descent and a perfect layout. Frequently you see other parts of the track and dive through sweeping bends resulting from really good altitude use. There is a real race feeling and throughout my multiple goes I failed to get 1st against the best computer opposition I've ever seen on a track. Don't let that fool the multiplayer freaks out there, this track will gain plenty of hard fought mud yardage over at the zone and teh pod includes the track both as a rally (single player) and a circuit (multiplayer), which is a cool idea. The one dissapointment in the track was the use of props....the helicopter and the trig station were neat...but the use of trees would've been much appreciated..not that many though. The author states in a very good and thorough readme (something every editor should do) that he left out many props so the track would have no problems running on slower computers but I really believe a few trees to break some of the sparceness would've been fine. Overal this is a gem of a rally well worth the download. Great competition and layout leads to a long lastability and a fresh smile to every mtmer that plays it. Check it out.

Sandman

When Hummer's first track came out, The Eliminator, many freaked out and it was indeed a classic, however, despite big wrap's from people like SlyFox I was hesitant to name him an upcoming editing legend. This, his latest track, has confirmed him as one of the upcoming stars, it is a masterpiece of altitude-layout combination coming close to the likes of XLR8. Following a layout which reminded me of a gun seen in Men in Black you begin at speed with one fantastic starting area then head uphill through a tunnel before looping around a grandstand section before plunging back down the tunnel which is a two-way section and is cool later in the race. From there it is a slow, COOL, climb back up the hill to a picnic/beach area before flying back down to the start. The prop and texture use are cool, including a cool animated arrow, and the track has deffinate multiplayer capabilities. It also features a very good zoom and custom music in the shape of "Enter The Sandman". For any racing, stunt or multiplayer fan....Check this out!

Sin City

This is one of the new Zipperhead tracks and despite its simplicity I really enjoyed this city circuit. The layout comes in the shape of a Bow Tie and features some tunnels, nice jumps and wide open area's for multiplayer free-fall. PLUS! It really does feel like a city even though it didn't go for the all out prop and texture effot like tracks such as City Slickers. The texture use was cool and the prop use was very good with parked cars, fountains and buildings all looking great. Not only is it perfectly suited for multiplayer but its highly enjoyable in single-player with very competitive computer trucks and a nice driving line to develop. This is a great track and I think anyone who plays multiplayer or enjoyed any of Zipperheads previous efforts should grab this track. This is one of the new Zipperhead tracks and despite its simplicity I really enjoyed this city circuit. Slam Fest

This is the second track by Charlie and it is a fantastic multiplayer track. With a 10-way cross-over even many laps into the race there are many high speed mid-air collisions to keep the stunt fans happy. The actual track quality is poor with bad texture use, poor prop and altitude use and even elements of the original crasy 8 coming through but the gameplay strikes gold. Despite its many bad qualities I found this track enjoyable in single-player and multiplayer mode but any attempt at a serious race would be a waste of time. Check it out for the fun factor.

Super Sin City

This is Zipperheads 24th track and a sequel to Sin City. Could this be the start of another great series of circuits from Zipperhead? Well its sure looking good. The original Sin City was a cool city track on a simple layout. This is again set in a very well done city environment but has added more complexity to the altitude and layout work to create an even better, totally different track. The racing is enjoyable with some tunnels, split sections and good computer competitiveness As usual with Ziperheads tracks the prop and texture use were well done and some healthy jumps will keep the stunt fans happy. Unfortunately there was no custom music and (for me anyway) the zoom didn't come out right. All in all it was one of Zipperheads best tracks and if you liked Sin City or city tracks, and are up for some nice multiplayer and singleplayer racing its deffinately worth checking out.

The Pit

This is the first track by Slash and it involves a race through a quarry. The environment is created really well with great texture and prop use as well as the complexity of altitude use common with Quarries. The layout is enjoyable with some good jumps, a section where you enter the mine, a jump into a tunnel and periods spent outside the quarry and the fertile surface. This circuit is quite good for a first attempt and it was only little things like the Lava in the mine not effecting the speed, the fact the surface was sparcly propulated and also the track having no "true corners" that draged it down. I would like to see a sequel to this track caus the environment was fairly unique and good be a new avenue for track makers out there, its nothing like the construction yards seen in Zipperheads Tonka Series. Not a bad little circuit good for multiplayer and worth the download, especially to get a look at the Quarry environment.

Volcano

This is Zipperheads 25th track (they just keep on coming don't they 8-) but the track that pushed him over 200 pts isn't one of his best. The layout consists of a climb to the top of a volcano which you proceed to jump over twice, then head back down again. Aimed at the multiplayer arena with a wide track, cliff-roads and limited prop and work this track fails to capture the full excitement which usualy reeks out of Zipperhead tracks. The climb wasn't worth the reward and the volcano seemed way out of setting. Not to say the track was all bad. The texture and prop use were good, as were the jumps, computer competitiveness and track idea, it just didn't work as well as it could of. A track for multiplayers keen on some easy but fast racing.

Zachy's Tracky

This is the 7th track by Gizmo and racing fans are in for a real treat. Following a great layout, designed by his 7yr old son and made great through the altitude work, you race through a crazy 8 environment with an impressive speed. This is a fast-paced circuit linked together by some great tunnels, a cool bridge, some banked turns and a real neat s-section. The texture use is great really heightning the experience as is the prop use with some cool custom props adding some flavour. Multiplayer compatability is also built-in and highly recommended considering the average computer competition. This all happens to the timeless Axle Foley song (does the 80's remind you of anything else) and a pretty cool picture is included. Overall I really liked this track and its aimed more towards the pure racers, although there a few good jumps mixed in.
