Watching, waiting, to be with you
Hoping that one day it will come true
The day that I can hold you tight
And be with you throughout the night
I watch and wait as you walk by
With your girlfriend at your side
My heart breaks and cries when she's with you
Sometimes I wish that your love would be through
But as the days go by as I watch and wait
I wonder if being with you is my fate
I pray to God that I'll be your girl
I try to tell you I love you but I'm too shy
As I write this poem, I am watching and waiting
As you pass by, not knowing
That I love you and I care
Wondering if my life will ever be that fair
I still watch and wait for you to be mine
But I know that all I need is time...
Spent watching and waiting...
With my love for you... never fading...
