This book is currently my favorite book I have read. It is the story of Metallica, from the begenings, to the death of Cliff, up until the Black album. It has the most complete discogrophy ever seen, and TONS of pictures! A Biography written by K.J. Doughton, a friend of Lars who has listened to them since their first demo tape, this guy really knows what he is talkin about. It also has interviews with the band, including Cliff and Dave Mustaine, roadies, and producers, this is a must for both huge metallica fans and newcomers alike!
