Filter's tested: Fram (Wearguard), Lee, AC, K Mart, Motorcraft, Purolator, Sears.
Result:
Fram filter was the best; it trapped almost all the particles larger than 20 microns (the most damaging particles are those between about 20 and 40 microns), but also trapped a high percentage of smaller ones.
Nevertheless, more recent reports indicate that FRAM is not the best choice of an oil filter. Purolator is the one most recomended.
