Brake options for your EF
This is my current setup. If you're after good street braking, this will work very well!
REAR
1990 CRX trailing arms
DA Integra rear e-brake cables. (CRX are too short on EF)
Racing Brake cross drilled rotors
OEM Stock rear pads
Goodridge SS brake lines
FRONT
JDM EF9 knuckles
93 Integra GSR calipers
93 Integra GSR Racing Brake cross drilled rotors
Hawk HP plus brake pads
Goodridge SS brake lines
MASTER CYLINDER
1993 Integra GSR 4040 Prop.Valve to gain the proper front/rear brake biasing.
1989 Honda Prelude Si OEM new Master Cylinder. (Both of the flare nuts on the hardlines going to the master cylinder on EF/89 Prelude are 10mm). With Prelude MC, you need to bend the front line so that it has the same angle as the rear line going into the MC. I suggest that you bend it by attaching your stock civic MC to that front line and bend it with your hand. Basically, you have to straighten it out by about 45 Deg, Nothing to it!
FORD Brake fluid.
1" MASTER CYLINDER
If you're after track performance, you have to upgrade to 1" MC.
As mentioned above, both of the flare nuts on the hardlines going to the master cylinder on a non-ABS/ALB DA/EF/89 Prelude are 10mm. The 1" MC from ABS/ALB DA one is a 10mm and a 12mm.
The DA booster will bolt right up. You NEED the booster since this master cylinder and the stock EF one have different bolt patterns. The hardest part is getting the hard lines fitted to proper angles. I suggest getting the JDM ITR 1" MC as with that, you can use the rear 10mm line and that will bolt right up. The front, well... lots of BS. Best bet is to take out the entire line from DA (from Pop.valve to MC) and swap it into your civic. Do it when your engine is out. I'll only do it then.
